Wood Tavern is delicious. The pork chop and duck were moist and definitely worth a try. The restaurant isn't huge, so there's always a bit of a wait, so reservations are HIGHLY recommended if you plan on trying this place out and know it in advance.

I went with my wife for a relaxing evening. The place is lovely and the staff extremely kind. There is a lively vibe in the air. We got delicious and juicy burgers, perfectly cooked. The IPA beer from Oakland was superb. We will go back for sure.

Haven't been there in a while but one of the best eateries in the east bay.

Great spot for a date. Food was delicious, a little expensive. Not many options for vegetarians but they are very accommodating. Good selection of wines too. Make reservations tho cause it's a small space.

It's located in a little cute area. Nice for small walks and small talk. I thought the decor was nice but nothing special. The food was great. I order a Burger and my friend had the soup and salad. She loved her salad and the soup was OK. Our waiter forgot to serve us bread so I don't know if that was delicious. Other than that she was lovely. Very attentive. She even asked to reheat NY friend's soup. The entrees were pretty expensive. Most were 21-36. A little too pricey for me but maybe they are amazing. Next time I guess. Definitely recommend for an occasional check out. Had a good vibe.

I've been to Wood Tavern twice now and enjoyed it both times. The first time around I sat at the bar and had a glass of wine with panna cotta. It was really light and refreshing. Excellent service from the bartender as well. The second time I sat down for dinner. The hostess was kind enough to fetch us from the Trappist next door as we went over to have drinks during the wait. We both had the burgers, which were served on baguettes. The burger hit the spot; the fries were a bit too thin for my liking but that's really not a deal breaker. I ordered the Guillotine cocktail which was pretty tasty and very strong. Overall, I highly recommend for a nice dinner with friends or family. I'd totally come back.

I can still remember the anticipation of this restaurant opening back in 2007 as I walked past it on my way to La Farine. My husband and I lived very close to this fine dining establishment, we were familiar faces to the owners/bar tenders/hosts/hostesses as we sometimes ordered "to-go" and decided have a low key "evening in." Nowadays, when we go back to visit Rockridge, this is where we try to dine for fine food and for their amazing pork chop! If there is one dish that are you debating on ordering go for their pork chop. Oh, and, their Niman Ranch hamburger is also very tasty--served on brioche buns. Menus change depending on what's in season. When, in doubt, and you can't get a reservation, sit at the bar and order one of their cocktails...

The Wood Tavern is a cozy spot that serves some really great food. It can get crowded so make reservations or grab a drink at the bar. The food was great and came out in a timely fashion. The service left a little to be desired though.
