Starting on January 9th we’ll be running a Group virtual cycle race, with teams from each site competing against each other to complete a 400 mile round trip between our 3 UK locations - Tewkesbury to Brighton and finishing in Dartford. All from the comfort of our own work place. 400 miles may not sound much but there’s likely to be surprise challenges and hurdles along the route, so our riders can't get too comfy in those seats!

We're doing this to raise money for the NSPCC, the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. They help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening. We're supporting this fantastic charity because every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their life after abuse.

If you are able to sponsor our teams and to help the NSPCC to give more children the support they need, please visit our Just Giving page....Thank you!

JJ Churchill has announced that it had made a £1.5 million investment in new technology, new people and new systems to meet growing aerospace industry demand. It has improved its processes with the introduction of Seiki Systems’ data management, which is seen as the first milestone in the company’s capitalisation on the ‘fourth industrial revolution’.

With such a fast changing and high volume order book, one of the primary planning challenges for Kirkstall Precision's production manager Steve Wilson was having visibility of their true capacity. Supplying to such a diverse range of industries and particularly key OEMs within the medical industry requires an agile approach whilst retaining the highest levels of quality and responsiveness, which is why Kirkstall decided to invest in the Seiki Scheduler.

We work in a world where we speak with data but the real trick is to be able to ask questions and get meaningful answers. That’s why “What-if?” is a great question to ask of your system. It’s when the system is asked to show that it understands what you are trying to achieve and therefore presents results or predicts outcomes that will be most meaningful. Read more...

Great feedback from Raul Carpinteira at Solid Bridge, LDA following our recent Scheduler installation in Portugal...

"Brian did a very good job, he helped us understand how we would most benefit from Seiki and he understood perfectly the needs of Lanema and configured the application to those needs. I think the expectations of Lanema were accomplished, so for that the Seiki team did a very good job and I don't have anything to add as an improvement, just continue working like this."

We're delighted your project went well Raul!

What-if we could help you improve your delivery date performance?
What-if we could help you say yes confidently to those new sales opportunities?
What-if we could help you speed up your production planning?
What-if we could help you achieve an optimal schedule based on your true capacity?

The weaker pound is providing a great opportunity for exporters and we’ve seen the evidence this week with industry reports showing UK manufacturing activity bouncing back in August after the post-referendum uncertainty. There also seems to be more general optimism in output expectations for the coming months. With this in mind, a focus on efficiency and productivity is more important than ever if companies are to take advantage of the opportunities that these market conditions are presenting.

Now is the time to adopt and invest in technologies that can help to unlock your true manufacturing productivity potential. Transformational change is possible thanks to both current and emerging technologies that are raising the productivity game to the next level. Sometimes the only problem is knowing where to start. Making sense of all the options available to you and which ones will give you the greatest gains can seem complicated. So let’s break it down and focus on ways that we can help improve your productivity.

Finite capacity planning software: the missing link.
Neither ERP nor manufacturing execution systems give manufacturers what they want – namely schedules that they can work to. Finite capacity planning software is the missing link. Find out how...
