Dear hipster neighbors, no one wants to hear your musical stylings at 2:30 in the afternoon. Especially when some of those stylings sound like crap.

No love,

For those of you previously pondering the possibility of the Miss Universe candidates as super heroines/super villains: Miss France is cranky about Miss Angola taking the crown:

+Chris Chinn IKR? Like wearing less makeup is a bad thing. There's a time for the extra special glamour and obviously, sis could do it with a little dab here and there and go 'voila!' Mad skills, let me tell you.

After the possum visit last week and the cats today, there must be a sign written in animal-ease that says our house is the equivalent of the Motel 6 or Red Roof Inn. All I need now is for a coyote to show up and considering the downtown Oakland wildlife situation, I would not be surprised in the least.

I've heard animals talking about your house.

Yes, yes, I know, I'm never here.  In New York for my aunt's funeral and this may be the only day I have real internet.  Will be home on Thursday. Today, however, is all about the shenanigans.  Hopefully I will not need bail money.

Criticism of mainstream feminism has been around since there was movement to criticize. The only way the movement has grown and changed is because women of different backgrounds, together and separate, looked around and said, "There's space for me here too and I'm not going away."

I agree with Stephanie on this. White anti-racist feminists need to speak out and support and point to what women of color are saying about anti-rape activism and SlutWalk in particular.

Self to welds: flatten down, damn it. I know it's me but seriously, help me out here.

Oh no, Dale and I have ruminated on the welds several times. Since I'm working with E7018, it's more an issue of speed and angle for me than anything else. And about an forty minutes later, things started to clean themselves up.

This is what I get for leaving our sliding glass door open: I walk out of the office, towards the bedroom and a gray streak runs by my feet. It's the stray gray cat that my neighbors have been feeding. And who is sitting on my bed? The stray Siamese cat who has been kicking it in our back yard.

Apparently, they felt entitled enough to roll in for some shut eye. And where was Murphy? My beloved yet dim cat? Curled up in a ball on the couch and sleeping the sleep of the angels.

Lesson in all of this: In Oakland, stray cats roll hard. And attempt to sleep in your bed if you leave the door open.
