Charcoal Still Life

Mixed Media Self Portraits
For this project students layered their paper with gesso and line drawings and text.  Then they added blocks of colors and patterns and a contour line self portrait.  The students really enjoyed exploring new art materials.

Abstract Charcoal Drawings

Line, Lines, and More Lines
We focused on the Element of Art, Line, this week and worked on drawing self-portraits in Modified Contour Line.  First the students drew each othen, then I brought out the mirrors and they drew themselves.  Pretty rad drawings :)
