Thank you for the best cruise on 5/09/2015. My wife and I have been on many lunch and dinner cruises. We go on the Odyssey because it is the best. We can't wait to go again. Your staff and crew were great. Thank you again for a great time. Dave

I went with my husband and 4 school-age kids. The food was delicious, even for picky kids - we did NOT let them order chicken fingers and fries! The band was really talented. We also liked that they played some current radio hits for the kids to dance to. Had a great night!

Today, 7/31/2014 DO NOT BE LATE!!!!!!!! THEY WILL NOT LET YOU BOARD!. My family came from India and I drove from Silver Spring to National Harbor and left 1hr 45min in advance (it is 15miles away) and arrived late. They were still tied up and wouldnt let me on. My sister cried, people begged. There were three of us. Captain said no, they cannot due to the coast guard rule, which I get, I really do...but then don't let 1 of the 3 of us on. Which they did, they let one person on and left the other 2 of us to hang. I called the company to complain and as a doctor this is an honest review. The company is excellent, great polite staff. But the captain and one other crew member were rude and had no compassion!! LIKE REALLY!?!?!!? It was unbelievable, he just wouldn't let us on and he then proceeded to rush the operation to leave and blew the horn loud so he couldn't hear me. Incredibly rude, I cannot say do not go to this company because I am sure it was a good time! BUT BEWARE OF THE DC NATIONAL HARBOR ODYSSEY LINE AND CAPTAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! VERY RUDE, ZERO COMPASSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello my name is Elsa Schaeffer, my experience was not good at all it started with booking, after making my reservation I was called by a member to let me know that there was something wrong with it, I book the birthday package for my husband, I was told that it had to be three or more to be book, " it does not state that when you are booking, it says I-19", I arrive there 30 min early to rectify the problem, I spoke to the manager that was working the crew she promise to take care of us once the crew took off, she put us at a window seat, the crew was not friendly, there uniforms was black and you could see that it was dirty wow, the carpet was also dirty, service was not good I was very disappointed with everything, It did not meet my expectations, all I wanted was a great birthday for my husband, I will not be recommending the Odyssey Washington to anyone further more I will let them know that all it is only pretty pictures on the computer, I am very disappointed.

Absolutely abysmal! Service was so slow, that nearby tables were eating dessert by the time we were served our dinner. Food was mediocre at best. Band didn't play danceable music until the final 20-30 minutes of the night, so the dance floor was completely empty for most of the night. Adding insult to injury, they overcharged my credit card, so now I have to go through the dispute process with my credit card company to get my money back.

My wife booked the dinner cruise for our wedding anniversary and the boat was nice, the staff was very nice, but the food was average at best. I ordered lobster bisque, which came out barely warm. My wife had the baked fromage, which was good, but not inspiring. For entrees, she ordered salmon, which she said was good, and I had a seafood dish which was rice with 2 small shrimp, one scallop, and 4 mussels on top. The mussels were very rubbery and could not even eat them. When dessert was being served, our waiter forgot about us and had to ask what we ordered and went and got it. The overall experience was nice - the house band was good, played oldies, and truly acted like they enjoyed being there themselves. They had special announcements for birthdays and anniversaries, which was a nice touch. I am glad we did this cruise, but it was very overpriced, as we paid over $300 for the 2 of us.

A WONDERFUL experience! We spent 3 hours at Mt Vernon and even caught the Annual Craft Fair. We bought a few things there too. I would totally recommend taking this tour when you are in the D C area.

First the food; If you're vegetarian, stay away. Options were sub-par by far. I'd hit the salad instead of the Baked Fromage which is just tomato sauce with three pieces of bread and a bit of goat cheese. The Vegetable Tower was bland and cold. The only redeeming grace was the bread pudding but I shouldn't have to have had desert as the best part of the meal. If I'm hungry, please, please, please, give me some nutrition, not sugar. Also, the water, coffee and iced tea were free but juice and soda cost $3 a piece. For a $160 meal, I'd have expected all that plus champagne to be complementary. For the boat part of the trip, there was no Washington D.C cruise, the water was to high to pass under the 14th St. bridge, which didn't look as if the bridge would even fit us regardless of water level or not, so I wonder how truthful that part is. So, no D.C. tour. Instead, you get to look at some houses and industrial area as you float down to National Harbor and back again. Nothing to see here but overpriced hype, a bit of nostalgia of dinner on the water, and poor food choices. If you're dead set on taking this cruise, and I'd avoid it at all costs, I wouldn't recommend or use Viator for this cruise service. Purchase from Odyssey directly for the same price. This should be the same review you see on Yelp, Viator, and TripAdvisor.
