Our friend has an adorable little Yorkie puppy who really needs surgery. Because she works as an interpreter for the deaf, she doesn't make a lot of money, and doesn't have enough credit to finance the procedure. So, she's turned to GoFundMe to get the help her animal companion needs.

We also have a small variety of t-shirts available via CafePress, if you'd be so inclined as to support us in that manner. All proceeds are going to upgrade studio equipment for the upcoming album.

We need to upgrade some in-house studio equipment, so I'd like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of my "old" project as Professor Wassenstein. Both albums are on sale now for $1.99 each, in addition to our undying gratitude for helping us make the new album a reality.

Normally, I would only use this space to promote our own creativity or to help support another work of art, but I'm more than a little annoyed right now.

Rolling Stone has put the alleged Boston Marathon bomber on its cover. Now, I don't think that putting his image in the public is going to "inspire" anyone to follow in his footsteps, any more than such behavior could be blamed on video games and music.

However.

I do find it to be a tasteless ploy to stir up controversy and sell more copies at the newsstand. The article may be well-written, informative and balance - I don't know yet, as I haven't read it. I'm not sure that I want to, though.

Musicians, actors, comedians, politicians - these people, I have no issue with having them on the cover of Rolling Stone. It is, after, all, "an American magazine published every two weeks and focused on music, politics, and popular culture," according to Wikipedia. To have an alleged murderer and terrorist occupying the same space that is deemed by so many to be a place of honor and recognition for achievement . . . . I just have a really hard time with that.

Your mileage may vary, of course, and I respect that. I just needed to vent.

Thanks for reading.

Found this old Soundgear in a closet recently. The neck is a little warped, so I took it off and then got to thinking . . . .
