2008: Winner of the Robert F. Kennedy award for international reporting. The RFK Journalism Awards honor outstanding reporting on issues that reflect Robert F. Kennedy's concerns, including human rights, social justice and the power of individual action.

2007: Winner of the Sigma Delta Chi award for international reporting. The award was made by the American Society of Professional Journalists for excellence in international reporting.
