When I want to get a special meal, DBGB is often my first choice ahead of nicer and pricier establishments. Daniel Boulud hits all the right notes with the array of meats and cheeses making up the core of the menu, giving this place a real homey feel while not sacrificing high-end quality (at a price that won't kill you). I always get one of the many sausages as an appetizer (they're all fantastic) and then pick whatever looks good off the menu. It's almost impossible to have a bad time at DBGB.

The place is really well located, cozy and spacious so it is great for large group meeting. We tried it for brunch with friends. We liked the decor, the old French music and the food. The prices were a bit expensive for just one plate but the menu is exhaustive even for vegetarians. I can't tell about the meat but apparently it is really good and burgers are a good option.

the food is amazing!!! the salmon omelet, the hamburgers the potatoes, the eggs, the bourbon chocolate and the bread!! all is soooo tasty. the service is nice and helpful. it is a great restaurant for 2 people brunch, but it also can accommodate big groups. The music is modern and I like the kitchen deco style

Very good gastro pub with a huge selection of rare beer. Loved the unique selection, after all we did come here due to its being featured in my beer book including an unfiltered Kolsch, wild ale fermented in outdoor troughs, and cellar aged Amber beauties. They even had a gluten free option. The food was also excellent. The sausages are world famous for good reason. The Tunisian with lamb was amazing. The burgers are also great and include a pork belly topped one and one with pulled pork on top. Also loved the fries. One can even order a whole hog for a group here. Only reason it isn't a 5 is the staff. They were very friendly and helpful, but took a long time between visits. It took over 30 minutes to place our drink orders. Still a fantastic place to try some incredible beer from your beer-cut list.

I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :) Drinks: Great. Food: Excellent! They offer some great variations of burgers, so you have to have the burger! Space: Very large dining space with two options: the bar area or the main dining area. Dining at the bar offers a special on beer & hot dogs. They also offer a prix fixe lunch special. The main dining area has tables as well as booths. Scene: Very casual, modern, and trendy. The bar is conducive to mixing and mingling. Good for get-togethers and date night. Crowd: Afterwork scene. Pick-up scene. Single scene. Date night. Service: Courteous and professional. But this place gets packed, so the service will be a little slow. For dinner in the main dining room, I recommend reservations. But you will have a great time at the bar waiting for your table.

Great spot if you're looking for a casual/trendy dinner spot with a fun vibe. Extra points because they have Hitachino beer here, and make sure you get dessert! The ice cream sundaes are delicious.
