Just wow. The food was so special, very personal. The service was also very intimate and gracious, no hovering like in some of the stuffy high end restaurants Ive been to. The only reason this doesnt get five stars from me is this: dinner lasted 4 hours. The time between dishes added an unnecessary hour or so. Still if you know that is what you are signing up for, you wont be bothered by it. I didnt know. So if you can afford it... Go

The food was creative & great at matbaren, if you don't have any allergy. My husband is lactose intolerance & his options were very limited. It was especially disappointing because upon making the reservation, the restaurant asked me to email them any food allergies ("For your best experience, we kindly advice you to inform us of any allergies."), which I did.

Only been in matbaren, which is too pricey for the food and especially for the wine, which is also very limited in the offering. Food is creative and good quality, but not impressive.

One of the best in town with fine dining in Matsalen, more lively bistro in Matbaren and if your up for an interactive dinner with like minded you have to try Matbordet.

By sacrificing a part of his two-Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant Matsalen, chef Mathias Dahlgren created a new, more intimate space for modern dining. Often behind the sauce pans himself at "the Dining Table," this is where the future of food, cooking, and farming is discussed among Dahlgren, 10 guests, and visiting farmers. Some nights, the chef of the evening is given complete freedom to choose the theme. Other times, the dinner revolves around given produce.

Simply outstanding food. Been both at Matbaren and Matsalen. Obviously, the latter is better with the tasting menu, but is priced thereafter as well. Matbaren has an exciting menu that is constantly changing - well worth a visit. Super-friendly staff that are very knowledgable.
