The good: Helpful staff, good prices, really nice folks. They have a nice selection of stock. I've had good luck buying inverts (crabs, snails) there. Most of the staff give really good advice, too, though some not so much. The not-so-good: Out of three fish I've gotten from the store, two died within two weeks and the third one developed a parasitic outbreak before it was even out of the bag. Had to fight to get them to take it back and treat it. They have a no-refund, no-return policy, but they eventually agreed to refund the money for the sick one. Yes, saltwater fish are touchy, and I understand why they can't refund every time one dies. But 0 for 3 is a pretty unlucky stretch, especially when all the other critters in my tanks are fine. Overall, I still think it's a good store for a number of things, but I'll be careful buying fish there in the future.

Was just there last night - no one greeted us at the door, which was fine by us (we were just browsing), but when we had questions, we had no problem finding someone to answer them. The staff was *very* helpful and informative.

Just had our wedding there. The food was so good we came twice the following weekend. :) Beautiful catering, impeccable service, amazing food, super-friendly people. You can't beat it in DC for price vs quality.

Just had our wedding party staying there in April. The staff is really nice, and the rooms were beautiful - great value for the price. Can't imagine doing better anywhere so close to DuPont Circle. Only caveat - do NOT pay what they're asking for breakfast. - it's highway robbery. Go out the door one entrance right to the Tabard, where your 12-16 bucks will get you a very nice hot breakfast, coffee, jam, juice, etc.
