For the most part, this hotel suited our needs - a reasonably priced hotel near Yellowstone. It is currently in the middle of a renovation, so it doesn't have the prettiest interior at this time. One night, at about 11:30 PM, a fire alarm-like sound went off. We had no idea what this strange alarm was and didn't know how to respond. With a 2 1/2 year old and a 10 month old in the room, needless to say, we were concerned. The alarm turned off after a few seconds, and the next day I asked the front desk person what happened. They said that it was a high temperature alarm for the boilers. The boilers are in a small room and apparently this alarm has a tendency to go off. I asked how I was suppose to know the difference between that alarm and the fire alarm. Their response was "Good question." When I told them that I was concerned for my kids safety, their response was "That would be scary." Neither of these were comforting responses.

Enjoyed our stay even though the park wasn't open. Saw the grizzlies at the discovery center was cool, nice town.

Don't stay here if you want to watch the main channels, ABC, NBC, CBS. We were not able to get these channels at the hotel. Don't stay here if you want fast courteous service from the staff. We called about our lack of tv channels and the staff said they would get back to us. No one ever called Don't stay here if you want to park you car in a lighted parking lot for safety and security. There are no lights in the parking lot. Don't stay here.

Can't say enough good things about this hotel. Staff was friendly, wonderful. Rooms are very comfortablble for families. Rooms are non smoking, but I saw some guests smoking in their rooms. People suck!

Great restaurant. I did not stay at the hotel but came 2 times for breakfast and 1 time for dinner to their restaurant. Coupons for the meals came with winter tour to Yellowstone park. Food was great. I came with 3 other people and all 4 of us loved it all 3 times. Service was great too. We came with the coupons for the meals but did not have any unpleasant experience (unlike three bear restaurant just down the road). People were friendly, food and check arrived promptly though one morning there was just one waiter for entire restaurant. Prices were very reasonable too. I cannot recall the range but it was no surprise even for a student like myself.

Just got back from this hotel last week. The maid service lacks in oh so many ways. Our first night we noticed beer caps under the dresser which didnt belong to us. Okay small thing right? The next day we came back to the room to find the maids had left the cleaning rags on the counter in the bathroom, had NOT cleaned the toilet and didnt leave any fresh towels. Brought this to the attention of the night staff and was told "its hard to get good help". The next day we came back to find a dirty coffee cup left on the coffee table. It makes one wonder how much "cleaning" they really do. The restaurant is so-so. I waited for 20 minutes for an order of french toast only to have ONE piece come and with the mix up was given two more pieces of cold french toast. There are better places to stay in West Yellowstone. I also have just found out I was overcharged for an extra night. Dont waste your money here, find somewhere else to stay.
