I don't understand the practical use of a tank that is so heavy. Japan was highly involved in the war theater of the pacific, such a heavy tank would of been a burden in such a area, there were no tracks or roads and the pacific mostly consisted of small islands with very unreliable terrain for tanks. 

If Australia had designed the Sentinel line of tanks to be used in the pacific war theater at the time, that'd of been more rational. Both Japan and Australia seemed to have faced the same issue, which was a lack of resources and facilities to mass produce such tanks.
