Mighty Edgy, eh? Two EcoBoost options, including the base powerplant (making this Ford's first no-charge EcoBoost).
For the second incarnation of its mid-size Ford Edge crossover, Ford is taking its show on the road. Late in the inaugural Edge’s life, exports began to China, and quickly escalated to 10-12,000 units per year.

Thinking of buying a European car and taking a European vacation? Save a pile of money and try European delivery. BMW let us pretend that's what we did with that Alpina B6 last week...

The other wacko Bimmer was the X4. I have way less patience for this one. Seems to me it's made for the folks that have been wanting an X3 but were disappointed by how functional and spacious it is. And how on earth will BMW salesmen help folks choose amongst the 5 3/4-based vehicles with cargo openings hinged above the rear window? (X3, X4, 3 Series Gran Tourismo, 4 series Gran Coupe, 3 Series wagon)
Just how good is the new 2015 BMW X4 coupe-like crossover? View nearly 100 photos and get the Motor Trend 2015 X4 review right here.

I always thought the X6 was a dumb idea (although I have to admit I loved the performance of the X6M) and making a 3/4 scale version seems ever more nonsensical

My take on the more angular but equally packagetastic new Fit...
We recently had a second chance to sample the 2015 Honda Fit's manual, automatic, new and old, on the mean streets of southeast Michigan. Did it hold up?

Here's my bullet-point coverage of the highlights of Geek Week in Detroit, aka SAE World Congress. It'll be interesting to find out how many of these see the light of day...

Oopsie, somebody blew the embargo on the Z06 convertible, so here goes!
And now, with the introduction of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible, a single Corvette can meet the needs of less-than-identically matched couples.

I went out to find the faults and be the elder voice of reason in contrast to all the glowing reports those giddy children wrote after their first drives of the new Alfa 4C. Oops. It got me too.

The third BMW was the Alpina B6. Does anybody on here have an opinion of Alpina? This thing costs like $1000 more than the M version of the 6 Series Gran Coupe and has similar performance, but is more luxurious and exclusive (only 300 or so will be made).
Need to go 198 mph with a Roundel emblem on your nose? Here’s your rig. Read this 2015 BMW Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe First Test only on Motor Trend.

Just had a big week in Europe driving some peculiar BMWs. The 4-door 4 Series Gran Coupe hatchback. I'm willing to look past all the semantics on this one, cuz A) it's flat gorgeous and B) it's a hatchback. We need more! And if it succeeds, maybe Audi will bring the A5 Sportback.

2015 BMW 428i Gran Coupe First Drive - Motor Trend
There's lots of lipstick on this liftgate, based as it is on the more sensual BMW 4 Series coupe. Read the 2015 BMW 428i Gran Coupe First Drive review here.

6000 miles plus with my long-term pick-m-up, and I'm liking it. Sure is a great cruiser...
With an ample 5600 break-in miles under our 2014 GMC Sierra Denali's belt, it finally was tested, and we learned some performance secrets about the long-termer.

Concerned that Aluminum has made a lightweight of the new F-150? Maybe this will soothe your concerns...

April seems to be Tech Month in Michigan, with all the suppliers trotting out their latest and greatest in the weeks around the big SAE show. Here's what Continental has cooking. Stay tuned for SAE...
