This book was a great story, extremely well written, captivating and with surprising twists all along.

Switzerland is usually for innovation. I signed this petition so that it can remain that way.
Authorities want to shut down Uber in Geneva. Help us making sure this doesn't happen!

Solar Impulse has reached China.
Solar Impulse has demonstrated that a solar-powered airplane can fly day and night without fuel. The next challenge is to fly around the world. Our aim is to prove that progress is possible using clean forms of energy. Becoming a pioneer is all in the mind.

Shams 1, operated by Masdar, is the largest #solar plant in the #UAE! It generates 100MW of #power, enough for 20,000 houses! It saves 175,000 tons of Co2 per year, which is equivalent to 1,5 million trees and 15,000 cars! Want more information about this #cleantech marvel? Stay tuned for our new #Insider!

What are the cheapest ways to improve the state of the world? Teams of economists commissioned by Bjorn Lomborg suggest the most beneficial measure would be lowering barriers to trade, which achieves far more per dollar spent than any other option. But while most poverty-reduction measures are more expensive than cutting tariffs, many are still well worth it http://econ.st/1yLfrhP

Interesting. lets consider the "scientific method" of the Copenhagen consensus centre for a moment:

"The project considers possible solutions to a wide range of problems, presented by experts in each field. These are evaluated and ranked by a panel of economists."

Now consider the difference in validity if we replaced the 5 economists (most belonging to the same sub-branch of economics (who happens to think that free-trade the best thing since sliced bread)), with a panel of 4 catholic priests and a voodoo doctor...

Conclusion left as exercise for the reader ;-)

Free speech is important everywhere.
Google is part of a fund for French newspapers that is donating about $300,000 to Charlie Hebdo.
