In 2001, Google hired its first lawyer, David Drummond, who remains its chief legal officer in addition to being a senior vice president for corporate development. In 2008, Google hired Mary O'Carroll as its first head of legal operations, technology and strategy to help Drummond's ever-expanding legal department cope with the organizational challenges of scale and how those challenges have evolved over time.

This is written by my best friend's husband who I think is onto something big.  More of this type of Autism research is needed:

"I believe we are on the verge of a paradigm shift in autism where the new view is that, while some genetic factors may be important, the underlying condition is more of an acquired syndrome that arises from externally-induced changes in metabolism, immune function, and the microbiome. The encouraging thing about this view is there is reason to believe that many of these children can get better. We need to fund this kind of research. Our children deserve better answers."

If progress is humanity's ability to complicate simplicity, then innovation is its ability to turn complication into usable information and tools. Or to use one of the most tired phrases in the business space, to “do more with less.”

Love this zoo and I dont even like animals. Its better than both the SF and even San Diego zoos. You can get up close with the animals and it feels nice and new and clean (and not stinky). There is also a great little rides area for kids.

One of the best and most underrated tasting menu type restaurants in the bay area... and I've been to most of them. The wine pairing is superb. The dishes are a good size (read: not too small) and they use great ingredients. Just tasty and top notch. A great experience.

The pasta and pizza are really good and the place is pretty hip for the burbs... I found it a bit too loud though.
