As someone who is overly worried about my eyes, I feel like everything is a reason to go to the eye doctor. I'll make an appointment at the drop of a hat, get dilated, let them poke around — the whole shebang. But for others, the very thought of anyone coming near their peepers is enough to make

Great eye care experience from start to finish. I appreciated the modern, warm and comfortable office environment, and the staff was top notch. What mattered to me most was that the eye exam was more thorough than I have ever had before. Dr. Rouse made sure I have baselines for good eye health going forward, and that I had what I needed to correct my vision now. After I had my correction prescription, the staff showed me some really great options for glasses, and helped me find the perfect fit. I get compliments on my glasses every day, and my eye strain is gone. They also worked with my insurance, and everything fit right in my budget. Thanks guys!

Going to the eye doctor is something that I used to dread, as I have never felt that my past eye doctors have accurately addressed my vision issues. With one eye near-sighted and the other far-sighted, an astigmatism and problems focusing, my previous doctors have settled with a "good enough" prescription. This all changed when a co-worker recommended that I go to Dr. Rouse. Every staff member that I have worked with was incredibly friendly and helpful and kept me fully informed of what to expect in terms of wait times, dilation and what exams would be taken during my appointment. During my exam with Dr. Rouse, I was so thankful that he actually asked me questions outside of the standard "which is better, one or two? Two or three?" For the first time in my life, my eye doctor addressed the issue that I have difficulty focusing on objects - especially moving objects. Prior to meeting Dr. Rouse, I'd figured that I'd have to live on in a slightly blurry, out-of-focus world. He added prisms to my lenses, which no other eye doctor has done and for the first time, I can actually read street signs as I am driving. Not only that, but my eyes don't feel so tired at the end of the day. In more than 15 years of wearing glasses, I was impressed and thankful that one of their eye glass experts was so hands-on in selecting my new frames. She really took time to ask what I felt comfortable with and considered the features and shape of my face and my skin tone while helping me select new frames. I absolutely love the pairs she helped me choose and I regularly receive compliments on them. I am an extremely satisfied patient of Dr. Rouse and have recommended them several times. Oh and did I mention that I live in north Tacoma? They're worth the drive. You'll be in good hands if you choose to see Dr. Rouse and his wonderful staff.

Super nice people but it's a pain to deal with them and Tricare. Also, I have never had to pay for records when I need them for my child to get referrals. For that reason, I don't recommend if you use Tricare. I say this with 10+ of years experience with dealing with off post providers all over the country.

After years of frustration with my eye doctor (who told me my problem was "Father Time"), I found Dr. Rouse. I received the diagnosis I needed and the eye care that made a huge difference in the quality of my life. Dr. Rouse has excellent staff and state of the art equipment that allows him to address the individual needs of his patients. Under his care, my eye health has improved. It is obvious that Dr. Rouse cares about his patients and that he has invested a great deal of research to purchase diagnostic equipment that is cutting edge in this field. I have not seen most of this technology in other eye clinics. Dr. Rouse is skilled, gentle and efficient with eye exams. HIs eye examinations are relaxing (another very new experience for me and for our family). I highly recommend him as a doctor.

Every time I go in to see Dr Rouse I leave feeling well educated about my eye health. He is super nice, and I have never had to wait. Appointments are always available when I need them. When I recently had to cancel the morning of my appointment due to a sick child, they were compassionate and kind about rescheduling. I will continue to highly recommend him to anyone needing an eye exam. I take my kids there and he is great with them, too. Their office is beautiful and and the technology is amazing. Thanks, Dr Rouse!

I want to send out a THANK YOU to the whole Dr. Craig Rouse team in the name of my wife and myself. As a "first timer" needing to get glasses, you all made me feel comfortable, at ease and confident. I felt warmly welcomed like family, the moment I set foot in your great family business. I'm a guy who does not really like to shop, but Amy and I ended up looking at frames, trying out different styles with your help for about 2 hrs !!! Your honest feedback and playful, professional nature while we where trying out different looks, made our visit FUN. Turns out, our final choices are getting us rave reviews from ALL our friends! That really helps me a lot, having to wear glasses for the first time. So... THANK YOU Dr. Craig Rouse for your professional and swift diagnosis Shayna, for your humor, consideration and your mind of purpose Deliah, for just visiting with us and your personal sharing Carrie, Ashley, Devon and Renee for being an important part in an awesome team that serves our community! Sincerely, Sebastian
