Every time I go in to see Dr Rouse I leave feeling well educated about my eye health. He is super nice, and I have never had to wait. Appointments are always available when I need them. When I recently had to cancel the morning of my appointment due to a sick child, they were compassionate and kind about rescheduling. I will continue to highly recommend him to anyone needing an eye exam. I take my kids there and he is great with them, too. Their office is beautiful and and the technology is amazing. Thanks, Dr Rouse!

BE WARNED AND BEWARE OF ROUSE EYE CENTER. My family and I went in for a routine eye exam which my insurance company covers at a 100%. Rouse eye center took advance of my family by not only collecting from the my insurance company but charging my family and I for tests that are questionable. Rouse Eye Center does not work in the best interest of his patients but of his pocket book. Be warned- Rouse Eye Center is in the business of taking advance of his patients. He performs and gives diagnoses that are EXTREMELY questionable. I had to seek out other eye doctor for myself and family to get an accurate eye examine. Please, don't make the same mistake I did- this was a horrible experience!!!! If you are considering Rouse Eye Center--do yourself a favor and FIND A DIFFERENT EYE DOCTOR. Worst eye examine experience ever.

Finally after multiple eye exams over the years, I now have a pair of glasses that I can actually see with crystal clarity!! What a nice group of people, caring and professional. I also have an extreme eye phobia and Dr. Rouse just got it done, obviously from years of experience he was able to give me a thorough exam with no tears shed. Many thanks to all at this establishment :)

Was very happy with them until this year. They coded my exam as medical because I was having trouble focusing my eyes... FOUR Months later I received a bill for over $600 due in 45 days and they will not try to bill my VSP!! Was basically told "too bad" when I called and asked why they weren't billing VSP and trying to bill the exam as medical. Will not refer anyone to them EVER again!

How can I describe my experience with the folks at Rouse EyeCARE to people who have never been there before? How do you explain what exceptional service is to someone who has never received it. I would have better luck describing the color blue to a blind person. But I will indulge you, the reader. The year was 2007. I was relatively new to Lacey and found myself in dire need of glasses. I contacted my insurance carrier and they gave me the contact information for Dr. Rouse's practice. I called and scheduled an appointment. They were polite on the phone. Personable. I let it slide. I had partaken in this song and dance before. I had gone to a larger, chain clinic before. They would lure you in with their honeyed words and hollow smiles and before you knew it, you were little more than a number. I was determined this time. I wouldn't get burned again. But when the time came for my appointment, I found that the honeyed words were much more. No droning musak was being piped into the waiting area. Sure, they had a Highlights magazine or two, but no one had gone through and solved the Hidden Picture puzzles. It's almost as if they brought out new magazines just for me. I indulged in some idle chit chat with the staff and found that they seemed to actually enjoy talking to me, instead of just tolerating it. It was then that I knew what I had happened across...I had found a home (for my optometrical needs). Since that first encounter, every subsequent encounter has been better than the last. Seven years and almost as many pairs of glasses later, I still eagerly await my visits to Dr. Rouse's clinic. I feel like it is my civic and moral responsibility to share my experiences with others so that they too may feel the same way that I have. I haven't so much found a eye doctor, I've found an eye family. If you are looking for a good, family-run clinic, look no further. In all aspects of professional courtesy, the fine people at Rouse are exceptional and above all others; supreme. And if you needed any other evidence to convince you of how awesome this place is, consider this. The table with their equipment spins. IT SPINS!

It was time to get my eyes checked, I chose Rouse EyeCare and am glad I did. The first thing I noticed was the beauty of the office and waiting area. I was greeted by a friendly staff member and asked if I would like water. My wait time was about 7-8 minutes, then I followed the technician back to the testing areas. At each station I was told briefly what the test was going to be - I was amazed as I had never had that much detail in an eye exam! Then it was time for my exam by Dr. Rouse. He showed me a colored print out of the back of my eye, and explained what I was looking at; I could tell that Dr. Rouse truly likes his profession and is curious about each patient. During the exam, Dr. Rouse' demeanor showed me that he is a caring physician. I have the typical 'older eye' and also medical issues that affect my eyes, but by the end of the exam I also knew that Dr. Rouse is highly competent. Because my eyes were dilated, I got my new eyeglasses on a separate visit. That was fun! Dr. Rouse' wife and another staff member, Carrie, helped me find glasses that suited my life style, fit my face, and that I liked. Altogether, my experience at Rouse EyeCare was the best I've had at any optometrist.
