Absolutely beautiful atmosphere that would make any dining experience pleasant. This is probably one of my favorite atmospheres of any restaurant in NYC. The food is also delicious. Very nice presentation. The portions are not huge, but they were large enough to keep me satisfied. I did order dessert, which I only do if I am not stuffed. I order the short rib and foie gras agnolotti, which was very tasty and light. The crispy polenta pyramid side was a little dry for my liking, so I probably wouldn't order it next time. However, there were many other items that I wanted to try and I will definitely return. For dessert I had the house made gelato which was great. The service was also fantastic. Good wine list as well.

Pleasant restaurant In the Historical museum with good Italian food. Many steps above other local restaurants.

I went here after a Friday evening visit to the New York Historical Society. We didn't have a reservation but got right in. The space is stunning. It's perfectly decorated. Very, very beautiful. The food was great too. We kind of over did it with the ordering and got appetizers, pastas, a side, and dessert, but everything I tasted was very good. They have a great wine selection too. I will definitely be returning.

.Love, love, love Caffè Storico! The oxtail agnollotti was outstanding; the position size was perfect and the sauce was to die for. The Amaretto semifreddo I had for dessert made me swoon. Service was fast and unobtrusive, the ambience upscale and cheerful. I'd go here a lot if I lived in the area, and I highly recommend this wonderful café to all and sundry.

Just had an excellent meal here. The caesar salad was well seasoned, not too garlicky, had the artichoke mezzaluna and the bronzino, both of which were excellent. The setting is beautiful and the service the attentive, but not intrusive.
