This is the worst business in central PA. Almost two months go by and then I'm told they don't have my lawnmower. I had to drive down and point at the one that is mine. Owner tells me, "oh yeah the parts just came in for that". Stay away at all costs !!!

Save your time don't step foot is this place the older man that works the evenings his rude and is a crook his cashier id is 100101 He charged me $2.54 for a $.20 part and when I told him about it he stated he was to busy to make it right.I will never return to this place and in my eyes this is theft!

The professionalism is very poor. Giving one star is generous. And the only interaction I've had is over the phone. Hoping that's the only interaction I have to have with them.

GO SOME WHERE ELSE!!!!! Dont ever go here!! First off this is the FIRST negative review I have ever written. Here we go... Sept of 2013 I had some mower blades I needed replaced. Brought my mower deck to central hardware and he said he would have them done soon (don't remember exactly the time frame). Called a couple times said he hasn't gotten to them yet. It turns to winter...January I get a call saying there done. He welded a new plate on the hubs to get new blades on. (It's a '85-'86 Yanmar) said my bill was $180 for the work and the blades. Come spring I drive the 25 min ,and I go get my deck. Put it on the mower, about 10 min later a blade flew off. Take the deck off and bring it down. He says "I know what happened I didn't have it hot enough when I was welding it". I said ok how long," give me a few days". About 2 weeks later it's ready. Get it back put it on, and the blades are hitting deck. Pissed I bring the whole tractor down to him. Said hub has been broken and he didn't see it before. I'll have it ready next week he says. Again this is around April/May. Long story short, I called at least 15-20 times over the summer - response was always "iam really busy and ill have it done next week".i ended buying a new tractor, a big reason was central hardware had mine. told him I wanted to sell it so I needed it done. To his credit he has had 2people call saying there interested in it, but i havent sold it yet...Last call was on 9/11/14 said it would be done tomorrow. So today 9/16/14 my wife stopped cause the tractor was moved and left her number. (oh yeah, it sat outside in the same spot all summer, which I don't ever do). Called her back said it was done with a big attitude AND there was a bill. I called and got attitude from him as well. Said he knew I bought another tractor and he was busy so he hadn't got around to it as soon as he would have liked. I said I told you I wanted it back to sell it. Also said I had been more than patient cause i thought he was working it when u could cause he was busy with paying customers. He said he isn't working for nothing. Said he didn't break the deck, said I was blaming him. I never said that just told him the blades didn't hit before. I said I haven't been able to sell it all summer cause he'd it. Said it wasn't his fault that I couldn't sell it. I told him I couldn't sell it cause he had it. I asked him there wasn't anything he could do for me cause he had my tractor all summer, many many phone calls, lost of money for not being able to sell it and it sat outside all summer. He said again he wasn't working for free. Even did the phone is breaking up story even tho I could here him just fine. So Iam getting it tomorrow. Will c if I get billed. He business ethic sucks big time! Don't see how he'll stay in business for long. The funny thing is, all reviews seem to have the same theme. I feel like I just thru up all this on this posting, but thanks for reading.

I wouldn't take a bicyle tire to this place to have fixed. I had a starter generator for a golf cart rebuilt here. Took it to him and it was done over the weekend. Paid the man , and was on my way. Needless to say the golf cart wouldn't run after I put the rebuilt generator in the cart. The cart was in a flood in 2001, So I started looking at other issues, replaced the micro switch , the battery, and was about to buy a new solenoid, when I had a friend who is a mechanic check it with test light. Everything was fine except the rebuilt starter generator. SO I took it back to CENTRAL HARDWARE, and he had it for about 4 weeks till I just ordered a brand new part, I put it in and the cart runs perfectly. I just got back from picking up the old generator after 7 weeks and he can't find anything wrong with it. He wouldn't refund me so I'm out 135 bucks ,and will never do buisness with this place again. Neither will any of my friends. 1 friend just had 1100 dollars worth of repairs done to his golf cart and it wasn't here, thanks to me. So do your self a favor and go somewhere else..this place sucks

I rented a chainsaw from there once and i tried it in the parking lot and started fine. then i took it to where i needed to use it ( linglestown) tried it there and it started but cut out real fast. after that couldnt get it started again. called the lady working there and she said i had to bring it back to get a refund or exchange for a different one. So i took a load of brush to the dump due to the fact i was working against time cuz of its closing time. So i did that then ran the chainsaw all they way back to enola (40 min at max) i brought it in and right away i got dissrespected when she questioned me like i was a 12 year old. i explained i was working against time and i told her its a waste of my gas to drive all the way back when i have other stuff i can get done before. didnt matter. she wouldnt give me a refund and acted hostile to me. But she did give me an option of taking a different chainsaw. We tried atleast 7 and none of them work . so needless to say my time ran out and i didnt get any work done cause of no chainsaw and wasting an hour there trying out other worthless chainsaws. I ended up paying for the rental even though it didnt work. i do not recommend this place to anyone if your trying to get good quality rentals for your money . Customers def do not come first here. Go to bestline inc on mech. They are very respectful and back up there rentals. even drive out to where your working to swap out equipment or come fix it .
