Love it!!! Eat at least 3 meals a week at cactus. Been coming to Cactus cafe for over 20 yrs ( Since the original owner). Food great. Love diablo sauce, goat cheese enchilads, soups, mole sauce, green salsa way better then joes (I eat at joes taco lounge at least once a week). Prices are reasonable and portions large. Everything tastes fresh. The current owners couldn't be nicer. If I hear anyone else say that Korean owners shouldn't run a mexican restaurant I am going to move to san francisco where people are more open minded.

I have to agree that the change in management doesn't seem to be for the best, but still love it here. The Posole is excellent, and all the pork dishes are great as well. Worth a stop if you haven't tried it yet.

Cactus Cafe used to be a great place, the food was terrific, the atmosphere warm and fun. Nostalgia brought me back there with my son and granddaughter tonight and I saw the same decor, same menu, and assumed it was going to be a delicious dinner. But it was a terrible disappointment. The place had a cold unfriendly atmosphere, that should have tipped me off. The waitpersons were all Asian (in a Mexican restaurant), further clue. The service was lousy. We ordered a fajita for two and he brought a fajita for one. I found out when I got the bill that we were charged for the chips and salsa he put on the table, and charged another 2.50 because my granddaughter asked for a milder sauce for her chips!!!! Who charges for the chips they put on the table at a Mexican restaurant?? The food was utterly bland. No flavor, nothing. The beef was tender but almost tasteless. Yet the menu and prices (not cheap) were exactly the same. It was like The Twilight Zone of restaurant experiences, everything looked familiar but everything was drastically changed. Ugh.
