Hi +Marcin Sągol I am a big fan of the Dark theme, I've been using Plasma 5 Tech preview on my work production machine, and it is ACE! I love the new layouts, Plasma 5 is gorgeous, and activities help me we split my admin and development work in to two seperate environments which I can switch between with a simple keyboard shortcut.
Folks will be blown away when the start using #kubuntu #vividvervet25 Jan 2015
Hi-- Dark seems a littler easier to read...25 Jan 2015
Waiting for Breeze theme to GTK2 and GTK3 apps.25 Jan 2015
I have to say it depends on the wallpaper you want to use. Vivids default background is better matched by the light theme although I personally prefer the dark theme as I have been using kdenlive a lot lately.26 Jan 2015
I prefer dark. I always used a dark theme with Kubuntu. Unfortunately it sometimes causes problems with unreadable text in Firefox.26 Jan 2015
Light version.
It's in my opinion a better solution: lighter, more readable(fg is not exactly the best, but less stress to the user's eyes) and transparency is not so intrusive (it's the same amount of Breeze dark, but it's less prominent with light colors). Dark colors tend to be heavy after a while, and if you browse both the theme folders you'll see that the real breeze is the light one - the dark version simply inherits the svg/svgz from it, and apply a different colorscheme (yes, plasma themes can have their own colorscheme files - same structure of application colors files - a nice feature available on kde4 too).
I'm somekinda customizer wannabe and i've spent some time playing with Breeze artworks - my opinion, again: light > dark
P.s. Dark themes + dark walls = noob fashion :P26 Jan 2015
