Some time ago i have asked Plasma developers about implementing feature known from OSX: removing applications by dragging their icons over trash.
Plasma 5.7 features should be planned soon and i wanted some feedback from users if mentioned functionality is desired (so i could propose it again to developers). So if you can, please vote:

Not a Plasma related thing. You should check if there is a freedesktop spec for it. At least Plasma could expose it in a menu and also by the action you suggest...Feb 27, 2016
Is there a way to make a small shell, that essentially is a shortcut to the remove command, and stick a trashcan icon on it? pretty and functional....Feb 27, 2016
+Clay Weber Where would trash go? See how Android does it -https://imgur.com/aPX14OL.Feb 28, 2016
Given the plethora of packaging systems, not only on GNU/Linux, but other *nixes, add compiling from source, unique menu customisations we have etc. Getting such a system to work in every situation would be exceptionally complex.Feb 29, 2016
I think the better question is: why not?Mar 4, 2016
That brings up another question - wasn't Muon supposed to become an official KDE application? To be the front-end to end all front ends? If this were to happen, making this functionality present, even given multiple back-end realities, should not be too hard. Most here won't care if there's a trash icon or not, but there has to be some weight given in all UI decisions as to how it affects a new user. Having little bits of hand-holding is a great thing. Even if 9/10 posters here would answer with "how dare someone not instantly bow down to the command line!!!". We have to remember, even if unintentional, that that's how many answers to new users dipping their proverbial toes in Linux perceive our responses.
It's been said a zillion times before, but the more user-cases an every day Linux user could be shown ONE way to do something, that doesn't involve a command line, or a dissertation on why PPA's are so Uber important the better. Even if you and I CLI everything under the sun and know what wget and grep means and what a pipe is (besides the kind you smoke). /borderline-off-topic-rantMar 16, 2016
