+Russ Hansen I wouldn't call that buggy either Kubuntu or Neon. For example i had never system freeze on Kubuntu or Neon (i'm using it with dev/unstable packages and works great). I would say it might be rather related to your system setup (maybe GPU is doing something strange here). Try to use different tty and install kernel 4.8 or 4.9 from mainline (they both work nice for me on 16.04).Dec 18, 2016- i had been using kubuntu 16.10 for a long time no problems, until I backported and for me i have always had problems with kde neon. kde manjaro with K4.9 and plasma 5.8-..--4 worked great. I used to run Arch and that is a very good system. but know I like the kde AKA "kool desktop environment" now I am running mint cinnamon 18. I have been testing ubuntu 17.04 and it is very very fast.Dec 18, 2016
