24-hour bakery known for traditional Jewish-style filled bagels such as salt beef and smoked salmon.- Google
"Buy a dozen, plus an extra one with salt beef or smoked salmon and cream cheese."
"The hot salt beef bagel with pickles and mustard is to die for."

Just taste so good, usually buy a dozen to take home (they freeze fine for a couple of weeks) but obviously the salt beef is the one to go for if you're feeling hungry. For anyone confused by the spelling beigel/beygle is the original (yiddish) spelling, later anglicised to bagel. The staff can be quite curt if you're not ready with your order but thats all part of the experience really. Anyway theres usually a big queue so plenty of time to figure out your order by the time you get to the front.

For me and most people, the white signed Beigel Bake is the true place to get a bagel. I never know which way to spell it but 'bagel' is how I would. I digress. I pretty much only get two items on the menu apart from experimenting with a cake or a random filling, but the Salt Beef bagel is jam packed with meat. I think no salt beef bagel is complete with asking for a gherkin and mustard so make sure you do for the complete experience. They really do pack it all inside. The other bagel I get is the salmon and cream cheese which is an absolute snip at £1.60 (May - 2015). I can't go there without getting at least two bagels whether that is for lunch, in passing, or of course what most people do since this is one of few places in London that is 24 HOURS (thank the lord especially with 24 hour tubes coming up on weekends here) and on the way back home from the pub. It really is an institution on a road that is itself famous; Brick Lane. Just had one last night and the quality is consistent and the staff always chirpy. Keep up the good work. :)

One of the best take-away bagel shops in London! It might not look very appealing from outside, but fear it not, the bagels you are about to experience are out of this world. The queue of customers can trail all the way outside, but it goes pretty quick as the staff is very efficient. Amazing value for money - cream cheese bagel is only £1. Salt beef bagel is fantastic and a must try ;) Cash only - no credit cards accepted.

Large portion of salt beef in my bagel which was good. I have a suspicion that they no longer use Coleman's mustard, I could be wrong but don't think so. As usual the staff by enlarge come across as abrupt and bolshey, but don't let what put you off.:-)

A london legend. Exactly the same when I was 10 years old (that was 34 years ago). Hasnt been Kosher for a good 10-15 years. This is the better bagel bakery than the one 2 doors along, consistently and its always q'd out of the door, often at 1-2am. Its not posh.

Staff member female with dark black hair 40-50 YOA, thick black eye liner; tried to short change me £10. I gave her £20. For one £3.70 beigel. She only gave me change of a £10. Never going there again.

You come here for a reason unless your a tourist and it's perfect as it a no fuss uncomplicated bagel shop. All the bagels apart from the fresh salt beef is pre made, so don't be worried about the huge queue as it goes down extremely quick. It's also great as they sell fresh plain bagels by the half dozen at a very reasonable price, saying that all the filled bagels are pretty cheap. Here's hoping this remains open unlike its old competitor that was closed down. (Takeaway - 23/01/2015)

Hot Salt Beef. Wow. I'll be honest, I could go for more mustard on my bagel, but that's just me. And you can get a bagel with cream cheese for just £1. Best bagels I've had outside New York!
