Absolutley fantastic food at prices a Uni student can afford. The bagels are A-mazing. Salt beef being my favorite, but I take lots of friends there and they've tried numerous other varieties and are always impressed. Plus, fantastic crossiants and other sweet pastries at fantastic prices. Quick service too! This is the place to go during a lunch break. You won't be disappointed.

Beigel Bake might be the cheapest food in London. It's open at all hours. Bagels cost something ridiculous like 30p. A bagel with salmon and cream cheese is like £1.60. At these prices it's obviously not the best quality product, but it's delicious, convenient and gets the job done for next to nothing.

You will not have trouble finding this place as there is always a crowd of people waiting to go inside. It's strange to think that such a simple food such as a bagel can have such varying degrees of quality but if you take your bagels seriously this is the place to come! The salt beef is delicious and tender without completely falling apart. It's also not too fatty which is always a plus. Any bagel here you get quite ample portions and it's nice to grab one on a Sunday and wander around Brick Lane. For London the bagels are insanely good value! They also sell bread by the loaf including challah and rye which I have yet to try but always looks appetising. One tip, don't be that person holding up the line to take photos or chat to your friend. The staff are busy and lovely people but will yell at you if you make your time more important than theirs. They do not accept card.

It's the bagel shop that never sleeps. Need a hit of salted, hot beef bagel goodness at 4am? This is the place to go. It's also one of the best value eateries in all of London, with an impressively wide selection of filed bagels, cakes, pastries and buns at rock bottom prices. This, naturally, comes at a price. You'd better be ready with your order when you approach the counter, or you will face the wrath of the shop staff, who have no time for dawdlers. Of course, when you sell a bagel for a little over £1, time is money, so you'd better not waste theirs! There are some real characters here. There is usually always a lengthy queue, but the aforementioned brusque customer service gets through it very quickly, so don't be afraid to join the queue, read the menu, and prepare yourself for a slice of Brick Lane history - but hurry up, they haven't got all day.

Epic salt beef bagels and good pastries at anytime are a hit plain and simple. Can get busy at chuckout times but that is a good sign. Once you have been here a kebab simply isn't the same again.

Beigel Bake is renowned for delivering some of the best bagels and sandwiches in the capital. They churn out over 2000 bagels every day, baked in store, and fill them with a range of classic ingredients. Their signature salt beef will set you back a cool £3.70, and other greats like smoked salmon and cream cheese an even tastier £1.90. Don't be discouraged by the queue. It'll move very quickly and you'll have food in hand before you know it. Want to know more about Beigel Bake? Head over to Twenty Something London and read the full story.
