It was my first wine tasting event in London and I really enjoyed it. The evening started with the owner giving a speach about the event and the cook talked as well. The athmosphere was very enjoyable, nice people around and ...

Tonight I had amazing crostini toscani at Tinello restaurant. It is a traditional starter from Tuscany and it is quite difficult to find it outdside Tuscany. The other starters we ordered are crostini with lardo and honey and gnocco fritto with mortadella which is a traditional dish from Bologna and again you can't find it in London. Everything was homemade and absolutely fantastic, perfectly made and big portions as well. As main course we had tagliatelle with parma ham, green homemade pappardelle with duck ragu and tortelli with pesto. All dishes were great, homemade and generous portions. We spent 23 pound each

As starter everybody ordered vegetable bruschetta and it was very good. Italian bread topped with grilled vegetables and parmesan cheese shaves. I also ordered seafood spaghetti, it's usually difficult to find fresh seafood served in a restaurant in London but it was the dish of the day and I thought they would have bought it freash. Well, the portion was huge but seafood was not great, mussels were fresh but the rest of it was not, there were prawns and ring squid. My friends had penne carbonara and it was full of cream which is not part of the Italian recipe which contains only pancetta, eggs and parmesan cheese. The menu was 10.50 each.

My starter was aubergine and olive pâté and as main I had sea bream on a bed of artichoke and fondue. It was delicious and I enjoyed it really much. Other dishes were great as well. The desert I had was homemade chocolate pudding with amazing chocolate fondue in the middle. The stuff is very friendly and polite and the service is quick. We spent 20£ each.

. My expectations were quite high, I hoped to find a place I loved. I ordered tomino baked cheese with almonds and honey as starter. It was quite good but too sweet, better as a desert rather than a starter. As main I had home made pasta with burrata and spinach. Pasta was very good even if the sauce was not very tasty.

I had a steak and it was not fresh, probably kept in the fridge too long. I gave it to my dog because I couldn't eat it. The environment is nice.

. They make home made bread, the same kind of bread you would eat in Puglia and pizza. We ordered two starters, burrata and carpaccio. Both of them were quite good even if carpaccio was not a proper one in fact it was coppa which is a kind of salami from Italy. As main course I ordered ravioli with monk fish and asparagus and my friend ordered pappardelle with porcini mushrooms. I tried both of them, pappardelle was cooked with tomato sauce and probably butter, it's not easy yo make it right, sometimes it can be too dry but this one was perfect and delicious. I didn't like my dish, ravioli were crispy which doesn't make sense and provably seafood was not fresh as I can taste the fresh one. From my point of view a restaurant shouldn't serve seafood unless it's fresh from a monger fish

Try Thai is a very good restaurant in Manchester even if I'm not an expert of thai food I really enjoyed it. The environment is nice, there are many people from Asia eating there which makes me think food is good. Starters were great, I had crispy noodles with king prawns and it was delicious. As main course I had yellow curry with beef. The dish is just a little bit spicy but you can feel chilli only a minute after you tasted it, like a background taste. The portions were really big and I couldn't finish mine. They also have a good selection of wine and we ordered a bottle of Gavi from North of Italy. Everybody was happy with their food, a friend of mine had a dish with seafood and it looked amazing, I didn't try it but he told me it was tasteful. We spent 25£ each for four starters, four main and a bottle of wine. the restaurant is dog friendly as well.
