Great neighborhood place. Very friendly servers, excellent burgers, very good gumbo and good selection of interesting beers on tap.

Great wings and I love the brunch menu. I appreciate the friendly and efficient staff and the fact that the wait isn't too long.!

I've been coming to Dean St for a year now and can easily say it has become one of my favorite spots in Crown Heights. The grass-fed burger is my go-to meal there - always juicy and full of flavor! Plus it comes with a generous serving of fries. Also, on weekdays they have an amazing $12 brunch menu! Yes, you read that correctly, $12! And no, it is not a sub-par food experience. Another great thing is the space itself. It's divided into two sections: a bar in the front & a more restaurant-type setup in the back (with the open kitchen).

Several of the staff were very pleasant, but our server/bartender seemed annoyed we were there. 2 of the 3 items we ordered were just no good - bland, overcooked, greasy. The confit wings are pretty good, though. The acoustics (in the back bar area) are also a problem. It seemed a lot noisier than it should have been with a low key early weeknight crowd. I had high hopes for this spot but I won't be back.

Forget the burger; Okra étouffée is where it's at. With crawfish in the mix you may as well be in goddam Louisiana.

Awesome! Only been here once for comedy night and was not disappointed. Decor and environment are really refreshing and cozy. John, the owner or co-owner invited me here and was unbelievably friendly. Looking forward to going back and trying their juicy burger.
