24 hours per day / 7 days per week! This is when you can call on us to respond to your issue with “Speedy” service to address the problem with your ac unit. When will your ac act up? Of course, your air conditioner will only act up at 3AM.

What are the most common service calls we receive after regular business hours? “My ac is not blowing cold air and it is HOT in my home!” Yep, by far, this is the number one call we receive.

Most of the time we can have your system up and running in short order so don’t panic. We’re ready, able and willing to solve your 3AM problem. And, our service technician won’t be wearing his pajamas when he arrives even though you may be! You call – we will be there to help!

Central a/c units are made to withstand the elements including wind, rain, hail and snow. Fortunately here in SWFL we don't have to deal with snow and very rarely hail.

Rain will not bother your a/c unit but flooding is a major risk to your air conditioning system as it can't handle submersion in water. It is recommended to never cover your a/c unit to protect it from the rain. It is also safe to run your ac when it is raining out and in fact doing so will help dry out humid air in your home.

If you have any questions regarding your air conditioning unit, give us a call.

One of the things we take for granted is the #air we breathe while inside. Home owners and businesses alike have their occupants (family, friends, customers, etc.) inside breathing the air that is passing through their air “conditioning” system. Below is a link and as you are reading this important information on our website please keep a term in the back of your mind coined many years ago, “sick building syndrome”.

We want to help raise the awareness that there are ways to improve upon the quality of the air inside of your home and business especially when you consider there are things we breathe that can adversely affect our health and comfort - especially over the long haul. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about indoor air quality issues and please share this information with your friends, family and co-workers.

Well, as another “season” comes to a close we always look forward to being able to focus a little more on our maintenance offerings as well as the smaller repairs we receive service calls about.

One common call we receive at the office is about “maintenance” so we put together an introductory offer so we may be able to better SHOW you what we can do. We know we’re not the first AC company you may invite to your home to help you with your AC system; but we hope we may be the last once you see how our team focuses on being technically sound as well as customer-driven.

Basically, we aren’t happy until you are happy so call us today and ask about our “Spring Tune-up” special and thank you for considering Speedy Air Conditioning because we know you have many choices of AC companies to choose from.

Season 2018 is coming to an end and this is the perfect time to replace that old a/c unit. If you air conditioner is on its last leg, it is a good idea to have a new one installed before you leave town.

Give us a call so that we can help you choose the best unit to fit your space and needs.

It is common for dust, dirt, pet dander, bacteria, mold and mildew and other airborne particles to build up inside of your A/C's duct work and air handler which can then pass into your living environment causing unpleasant odors and allergens.

Having your duct work and air handler sanitized will cut down on these issues. Also, having an air purification system installed helps even more!

An a/c unit could start acting up a bit before it stops working altogether but often you don't get any warning.

The best way to ensure your a/c unit keeps working for you is to have it maintained.

A good tune up does wonders for your a/c system.

As you know, summers in SWFL are really hot and humid. One of the worst things that can happen is for your air conditioner to stop working when you are away for the season because it doesn't take long for mold to start growing.

Having your home's temperature set to the proper temperature will help prevent mold from growing.

If your unit is old and you're not sure if it will last until next season, call us to install a new one (before you leave) to keep your home's temperature where it needs to be all summer long.

How Does Water Back Up Into Your Home From the Air Conditioning Unit?

Your a/c unit removes humid air from your home or business through the return vents to be cooled (the evaporator coils cool the air). This cooling process causes condensation (water droplets to form on the evaporator coils).

This water goes through the condensate drain line through a pipe usually directly outside. One of the most common causes of an a/c unit to stop working is because the drain line gets clogged with algae. If the water backs up it will drip through your ceiling.

Regular maintenance keeps this from happening because part of the service is checking and if needed cleaning out the line.

Schedule your maintenance today to avoid the dreaded clogged condensate line. https://speedyac.com/services
