Just got a puppy! The staff are kind and understanding with your self's and your pets! Most of the complaints you read and hear are mostly because they had a vet bill and feel they been ripped off! They just are not bothered about the right care of there animals, all you gotta do is speak to the vet or staff on the desk and explain you have money problems! If you buy a pet its gonna cost you a arm and leg! If you can't afford to pay the bill for your pet you shouldn't have one! Its as simple as that! For your pet to get really ill you should see you vet right away! Not a few weeks later! Is that what you do with your self's when you poorly??? You don't move out of your family home leaving your mother or father looking after your pet cuz you can't! Give it to someone who can love it better than you! Some retards make me angry reading there complaints! Do you not think the vet has a hard job! I think there amazing they don't no how your pet is feeling and can never be 100% correct with what's wrong with any pet cuz its not like they can tell us! But they do there best! So before to put a one star rate how about think about who's in the wrong here! Its not the vet!! Your lucky they even can be bothered to help as much as they do! I'm very happy to be apart of pets at home vets! And thank you for helping my puppy start her new life 😁

Won't be using them again. Came home of an saturday afternoon of work to find the misuses hamster with blood all over cage and his top teeth pushed right out forward. Rang her and she got back in 5 minutes. Rang these vets thinking they'll be the only place open. Yes come right away was the answer we got. Thought brilliant they'll hold out for us. Anyway gets in the vet room. The vet looked like she didn't have a clue what she was about and proceeded to tell us that they would remove his teeth. Not knowing any better, we left him to have it done. Upon picking him up, he was very dosile, expected after waking up. They said he would be fine and not to worry. On the monday, he was making horrible noises and hadn't touched any food. So took him back and they said it is just a tad painfull here is some antibiotics. At this point it was too late. Did that week course of the treatment and during that week, We spoke to some people who were very well experienced in rodents. All of which said they should of never removed the teeth. There were other ways to sort that out. Either by pushing them back or cutting them short ect. However they gave us the details of a much closer vet that was very experienced in rodents and as the hamster wasn't getting any better we took him there. They also said they should of never removed his teeth and that the infection had now gone to his eyes and was just getting worste. So they gave him another weeks course and said if he doesn't improve then he was going to have to go sleep. We tried everything to keep him calm to try and get him on the mend. However upon taking him to the vets for a check up last night. It was no better at all. So my girlfriend said her goodbyes and hasn't stopped crying since. If we had known and taken him to our local vet instead of companion care. Then he would most probaly be here still. Also our local vets, which is a reasonable size company are 50% cheaper than companion care. So we basically paid a very expensive bill to unexperienced (in hamsters) companion care vets to basically sign the death warrant on my girlfriends hamster.

My parents took my ferret Charlie to this vet (I couldn't as I live in Scotland while my ferrets live with my parents in Devon) as he wasn't eating much anymore, hardly moved and was vomiting sometimes. The vet offered to do an x-ray as he found a lump or something like it..It was a very expensive x-ray to which I agreed to be done as I cared only for my ferret to get better. After x-ray they said they could not find what was wrong with the ferret so said there is no need for surgery to be done! They gave my parents some medication which should be given to my ferret for a week. Next appointment was scheduled for Wed a week later. Over weekend my ferret got even worse as he was not eating at all and was vomiting, on Mon he was not even drinking anymore, so my parents got to the vet as soon as they could as it was an emergency and we knew he might and won't survive till Wed when the next appointment was booked. Lady at the reception said it is not possible to do it that day as it is too busy etc and said to come next day! Which was outrageous as the time was so important! Charlie was running out of time - next day (Tue) a few hours before the appointment he died!! I am so disappointed with this vet as they took loads of money from us and did not actually help a bit! They made my ferret to suffer for another horrible week and my parents to watch all that! I hope Chris (the vet) and any other of you in the clinic won't ever get to this situation and I hope if you read this - you will think about how you made us feel! And no need for you to say sorry as the lady in the reception did over the phone when I called to cancel the appointment as that would never change my opinion about this clinic and you all - you can stick your apology ... where the sun does not shine! I am not quite sure how you prioritise your clients and how you deal with emergency situations! Same as the day when the x-ray took place, I first was told it will be done by lunch time, which of course did not happen, then it was said to be done by half 2 or 3, which also did not happen.. This is the worst vet I have ever have had to deal with, NEVER AGAIN!
