Factors of Refactoring
Even if you've never written a line of program or script code in your life, you know what refactoring is.  You may not have known it, but you knew it.  Confused yet?  Let me help. Refactoring is basically "refinement" or "optimization" or "streamlining". Le...

Dave's Top 10 Windows Command-Line Goodies
I'll admit it, I like geeky "Top 10" lists.  The irony of saying "Windows" and "command-line" in the same sentence also fits nicely with how my wobbly brain works, so I couldn't resist.  While scripting is obviously in a class of its own with regards to fle...

I'm curious as to whether they've modified the deployment .INI file structure such that it is (finally) self-referencing, rather than relying on a hard-coded UNC path.  The problem has always been trying to distribute the binaries across Distribution Point (DP) servers.  The content would replicate, but each time a client would execute their advertisement, the .INI would refer them back to the original UNC path where the deployment was created.  This effectively rendered the entire distributed aspect of SCCM environments null and void.  Has this been changed in 2015?
