[Black tea skin benefits]

Many people have heard of the skin care benefits of green tea, but very often, black tea is left out of the conversation. That is a shame, as black tea’s unique and high level of oxidization provides some unsuspected benefits of its own.

The big difference is the caffeine content.  Black tea has about double the caffeine content of green tea and this can be a very good thing if you think of it in terms for your skin.  Caffeine has been known to reduce redness and puffiness of the skin.  So while it helps you stay awake during drowsy summer days, it also protects your skin from the sun with its ability to fight off sun damage and repair damaged skin cells.

Black tea can also be a potential resource in the fight against acne. It works wonders as an astringent, where all you have to do is lightly splash tea onto your face. Just make sure it’s not too hot to burn you. You can also lightly apply a few freshly made tea leaves (or a black tea bag) onto the acne area, leave it for a few minutes and let the benefits soak into your skin. And of course, just drinking it will also work on bringing out the best in your skin. All these methods will calm down angry pimples, nourish your skin and give it a healthier, refreshed feeling.  And since hair lives on your skin, better skin means stronger hair cells.

Black tea’s benefits are many, but there few that are as simple and practical as the skin care benefits. Give some of those tips a try today.
