Until Lightcycles become a reality, I guess this will have to do. Bringing in 2015 slow and relaxed by playing around with some long exposures out in Lake Mary on the Florida Trail. Proving there still some life in this old Nikon D700 sensor of mine :-)

Just a little over 5 1/2 months ago we shot a photo very similar to this one & then hit the road for Alaska. Now after 14,901 miles (21K total), 24 states, 2 provinces & 1 territory we're back home. Lots of love to everyone we met & saw along the way. You guys made the trip all the more memorable & the miles much more fun. Cheers!

Holgate Glacier from the Kenai Fjords Tour we did today out of Seward, Alaska. We had the perfect trifecta for our tour with great weather, wildlife and glaciers. Capping it off was the Holgate which was just amazing to see in person.

3488 miles in with 2474 left to go before we reach our farthest destination out on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. It's been an amazing journey so far & we can't wait to see what's ahead of us. #welovevacation #iamthetourist

Yesterday we visited Pendleton's Farm just outside Lawrence Kansas & picked 9lbs of asparagus and 4lbs of spinach. Sooooo tasty!

Being a big fan of the Zero Point Zero Production's show "The Mind of a Chef" on PBS I was really excited to be able to visit both of the locations of Chef Sean Brock's famed Husk restaurants in Charleston SC & Nashville, TN. Needless to say both locations definitely delivered on serving up honest, down home renditions of Southern classics.

We visited for lunch both times and had a range of dishes varying from Skillet Cornbread & Catfish and an Oyster Po'Boy in Charleston to Smoked Trout with Deviled Eggs & the Tennessee Plate with Spicy Fried Chicken in Nashville. Both dining experiences were fantastic but for us the Chicken in Nashville was the standout. It was spicy without being overly hot & juicy without being greasy. Absolutely delicious and probably some of the best fried chicken I've had.

Both locations get two HUGE thumbs up from the We Love Vacation crew so if you're in Charleston or Nashville be sure to stop in and take in some delicious Southern cuisine served up by the fine folks at Husk.

There's some beautiful countryside in Kentucky. Kristin (my better 99.9%) snapped this photo as we we're driving between Nashville & St. Louis.
