As California's leading independent, population-based research organization, the Cancer Prevention Institute of California (CPIC) is dedicated to its mission of preventing cancer and reducing its burden where it cannot yet be prevented.
The Cancer Prevention Institute of California partners with hundreds of scientists, academic institutions and community agencies in the U.S. and around the world, working to advance the understanding of numerous cancers, including breast, cervical, prostate, ovarian, colorectal cancer, lymphoma and more.
CPIC enjoys a reputation as a nationally recognized leader in epidemiological studies of cancer and is partnered with the Stanford Cancer Institute, a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center, in creating a comprehensive cancer research and community outreach enterprise in Northern California. CPIC scientists also hold faculty appointments at Stanford University's School of Medicine.
