I've tried to go to this place several times and its ALWAYS closed! They're supposed to be open until 2pm, and yet when I arrive at 1:15 they're already closed. What's the deal? I really wanted to try this place out ever since I saw them on Anthony Bourdain's show, but I give up.

Heard about this place cuz of ABourdain of course, but I've learned that sometimes even AB can be hit or miss w places he profiles so we came w hopeful but realistic expectations. First thing we encountered was the service was awesome. As it was our first time ordering we had a few questions and the lady at the window was super friendly and helpful. Everyone there seemed to be pretty happy to be working there, and it showed. :) I have to say AB hit it on the spot w this place.. OMG, these tacos were prolly the best potato tacos I've ever tried and the seasoning was spot on. Just a note: pay close attention to the times here -- they close at 3pm and I saw several people sliding up a few minutes after bummed that they were closed. We got there about 2:20ish and didn't wait too long to order or for our food so seemed to be a good time to show up.

Someone brought me one if their taco breakfast burritos once and it was really good, but when I went there myself they refused to serve me and just decided to close down 2 hours early that day. But they were fine with serving the two people in front of me.

I spent a week in LA and went on a search for good mexican. I seen this place on TV, and it lived up to the billing plus some. I order the chicken mean burrito and my friend ordered the steak bean burrito. The food wasn't the highlight of this visit (let's be clear, the burrito was superb. Perfect size, super soft burrito skin, chicken and vegetables were piping hot. All around excellent burrito). The owner and her mom showed some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. The day before we arrived as they were closing, we returned the next day and she remembered us. What stuck with me the most was their extensive knowledge of the what they were serving and how comfortable the owner was discussing the competition (Manuel's Original El Tepeyac, "I was just there a few weeks ago and had one of their burritos. It was pretty good and filling, they're a good place to try"). As a customer it showed me she had confidence in her product because she didn't mind discussing other places and giving suggestions of other places. I've tried the other places I just went back to Tacos Villa Corona and enjoyed another superb burrito.

Long wait on the weekends - but a good breakfast burrito. Not much room to sit and eat so this is definitely a grab and go spot.

Hole in the wall spot with really good, inexpensive Mexican food. If you can find parking make sure to stop and get a potato burrito. Last time I was there it ran me less than $4 and it was delicious and filled me up. I usually make this a breakfast/early lunch spot when in the area and it never disappoints.
