Director of Economic Development Charles Bichara reports that friends, family and members of the Middleburg Heights business community celebrated the grand reopening ribbon cutting for Minuteman Press at its new location at 13367 Smith Road in Middleburg Heights. Owner Chris Williams and his team moved to their great new location at Southland South Shopping Center to facilitate the expansion of the business which recently celebrated its 21st year in Middleburg Heights. Minuteman Press provides full service business printing and graphic design services, as well as the best selection and price for a wide variety customized promotional items for all business, organization and personal needs. Minuteman Press is truly a valued member of the Middleburg Heights business community.

Director of Economic Development Charles Bichara reports that the Pierogie Bus is coming to Middleburg Heights! Join Pierogies of Cleveland in celebrating its third anniversary at Southland Shopping Center on Wednesday, October 17th. Stop into the Southland store at 6869 Pearl Road and try some of their handcrafted gourmet pierogies hot and fresh from their food bus. Also enjoy nut rolls, poppy seed rolls, and homemade cabbage rolls. The anniversary celebration will include raffles and samples of their incredible homemade kolaczki. The Middleburg Heights store opened in October 2015 under the Southland Shopping Center business incubator program. Since then, the store has been a huge success, and has been featured on the Fox 8 “New Day Cleveland” show. Today Director of Economic Development Charles Bichara attended the first quarterly meeting of the Southwest Regional Business Advisory Council at Polaris Career Center in Middleburg Heights. Polaris recently joined forces with the Berea, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls and Strongsville City School Districts to form a new, larger business advisory council, the Southwest Regional Business Advisory Council. This group includes nearly 50 education, business and community leaders from across nine municipalities who will give Polaris and the member school districts a stronger voice to meet the ever-changing needs of our communities. Presentations were made by the Superintendents for each of the school districts, and Polaris facilitated a discussion on student skills needed for employability.

September 20th was National Pepperoni Pizza Day, and I asked for your vote on who makes the best pepperoni pizza in Middleburg Heights. Director of Economic Development Charles Bichara presented the people’s choice award for “Best Pepperoni Pizza in Middleburg Heights” to Tony, Annette, and Chuck of Santo’s Italian Restaurant at 7565 Pearl Road. Santo’s has been a valued member of the Middleburg Heights business community for over 40 years.

Director of Economic Development Charles Bichara reports that the premiere E-Sport and Internet Gaming site in Northeast Ohio will be opening soon at 6933 Pearl Road in Middleburg Heights. Top Level Gaming (TLG), will offer a gaming experience like no other for teams, tournaments, individual players from the most serious gamers to the novice beginner. TLG will offer over 6,000 sq. ft. of gaming fun, and over 40 powerful computers and stations to run all competitive games available. X-Box and Play Station will be available for console gaming players. The latest in monitors and over one gigabyte in internet speed via Everstream will provide lag-free gaming. Relax in the large viewing lounge with the latest streaming on Twitch. Snacks, beverages and TLG Merchandise are also available. TLG will cater to schools, colleges, and teams with tournaments throughout the year. Gamers will be able to choose from hourly playing time or monthly memberships.
