To encourage more secondary students to try Coding the top 20 student wizards will be invited to a LIVE event on November 1st at the Singapore Management University School of Information Systems. At the live event, students will have a chance to win lucky draw prizes, compete to take home the grand hardware prize, and qualify to participate in a private tour of the Google Singapore Campus. All attendees will also receive a fabulous goodie bag containing items donated by companies in Singapore looking to inspire the coding wizards of tomorrow.

To be eligible to be invited to the live event, students need to:
1. Register on ChrisBoesch.com as a Singapore Secondary School Student and provide their CodeCombat screen name.
2. If selected for the live event, participants will need to find a partner of the opposite gender to participate in the live event. The live event will be a friendly mixed-doubles (girl+guy) competition.
The final online sorting of coding wizards will take place at 9am on October 25th. The 20 highest ranked Secondary School wizards at that time will be sent invitations to attend the live event with their partner.

I like that the Angular-strap project came ready to test with Travis-CI right out of the box (ok out of the fork). I had my fork being automatically tested with Travis-CI in about 5 minutes. Very cool.

Anyone know how to get Travis-CI to automatically deploy a subdirectory to the gh-pages branch after tests successfully pass?

If so, can you share the .travis.yml file if you get it working?

The kids just hit 80% of their goal on Kickstarter.com. They pitched their idea at the Python User Group last week and got lots of great viral marking advice from the audience. This Thursday they will pitch again at the Quantified Self Meetup. It is great to see them so energized about their Kickstarter project.

Very impressed to see the kids pass the half-way mark for their Kickstarter project. Christian published a Christmas-themed video to help promote it.

Please take a second to "Like" the project if you have a chance. It really encourages the kids.

Very proud of my kids. They launched their first Kickstarter project and are 7% of the way towards their goal. What was I doing when I was 11?
