For its high price, meals are only soso. Drive a litte north into little Haiti and any mom and pop shop there will be half the price and sigificantly better tasting. If you just need a craving filled and locked onto the island of South beach, then go ahead. Just be aware, your not getting a good value.

My first time here, my experience was nice. The food was good but nothing really special. Not sure if I'd come back, it's not bad but just not my taste. Great staff though!

Im sorry to say this but I was very disappointed with tap tap. I waited so long to go visit and eat there specially after seeing them in food network with Guy. The food looked so delicious and pretty on tv. Well I don't even know where to begin. Tap tap is a big fat ZERO bare to me. My family and I went there on Sunday and the service and food was horrible. Y'all must not know about our haitian food. What I ate was just plain no taste food. The griot was dry with no flavor, pikliz had no pepper taste to it, the legume was plain, and the rhum punch...smh....really? What was that? What kind of rhum do they use in the punch? Cuz it sure was not rhum barbancourt. The only thing that was tasty to me was the Poisson gro sel but expensive as hell. $25 really? C'mon now. Our haitian food don't cost that much. The bill came up to $200+ and I didnt see what for. I spent all that money for some left over tasting food. I usually eat at chef Creole every time im in miami but this time I wanted to give tap tap a try and I regret it. For all that money I could have eaten at chef creole for a whole week and some good ass haitian food. Their rice and beans (du riz kole) taste like the one from chauffeur guide in Haiti. Never will I step foot at tap tap again. Nasty food. If any of y'all wanna have a real taste of haiti check out chef creole please. They say the food always taste the bomb in the true!

The decor is exceptionally good - some of the best murals I've ever seen in a restaurant - and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the mayi moulen.

Food is wonderful here!! Do try the house speciality of oxtail stew, or for something lighter, the grouper is great as well. Everything goes well with the fresh mango juice!

I had never had Haitian food and tried this place and now I seem to look for a Haitian restaurant everytime I travel to a new city. Their service is amazing and their food was top notch. I got the pork chunks (griot I think it was called) and the sweet plantains and spicy vegetables. Everything was succulent and tasty and the sweet plantains went very well with the spicy vegetables. My boyfriend had the free range chicken and I stole one little bit while I could (he gobbled it up that quickly) and it was juicy and succulent. Great restaurant, great service, and if you have never tried Haitian food you have not lived!
