Met some friends there that were familiar with the restaurant and I must say it was delightful! A Monday lunch, place was packed yet service was great! Menu had very nice light & hardy choices! Very nice bar area and you can eat there as well! We will go back! Try it only thing missing was a view of the Ocean, now I'm getting greedy.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with the information that our party of 8 had 1.5 hours to sit, order, eat and pay because the table was rebooked at that time. I told them it was impossible for a party of our size to complete a meal in that sort period of time, but the attitude was, "too bad, that's all you get." Waitstaff then took an incredibly long period of time to attend to us, making it even more difficult to eat in under 2 hours. I can say that the crab crostini, beef tartare and lamb sliders were delicious. We also had several pastas & entrees, of which the pastas were good bit the entrees were simply not memorable. The sommelier's wine recommendations were quite good and went well with our meal. Locabda Verde, you can do better at making your guests feel welcome rather than showing all you are interested in is turning tables.

Oh boy, oh boy. How I enjoyed Locanda Verde! We were seated easily with our reservation at prime old people eating time (the only way we were able to get a reservation - but worth it). The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. The wine list is good - lots of good options for those of us who don't make 200K. We started with the blue crab crostini and the fava bean crostini which were both really good. Light, flavorful, and delicious. I started with the gigantone, which is really fun to say. GIGANTONE. Guess how big the noodles were, relative to noodles you're used to? GIGANTIC. Pretty fun. They were perfectly cooked and the sauce they came in was luscious and divine. Ooh boy getting hungry thinking about it. My lady friend got the trofie with basil pesto. I ate a lot of that too because as good as the GIGANTONE was, this was it's light, delicate, and subtly delicious dopleganger, and equally delicious. For our secondi we went with their daily special which was sea bass. It was perfectly cooked over a delicious broth. Lastly - we had the olive oil cake. Since we loved the olive oil gelato at Otto, we figured this would be a cool experience too, and it was. You get just a hint of that nice smooth flavor in an exceptional cake. It's the perfect way to end a meal. All in all - a wonderful dinner and a great place to celebrate a special occasion or bring a special girl.

Authentic Italian. Understated and yet chic atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Great wines at reasonable prices.

One of my favourite places in the city. Their ravioli is amazing and if they have seasonal specials I'd recommend them. Great wine selection too. Not as expensive as I thought it was going to be either. Get a reservation and dress smart!

Excellent place! We came here for a holiday party and reserved the back room for a big group. Before we all sat down for dinner, the waiter walked around with hors d'oeuvres, including my favorite truffle cheese balls (they may not call that on the menu), bartender also made excellent french 75 which was great. In terms of entrees, they were all pretty good, heavy but filling. Overall very good experience!

Very nice stylish restaurant. We had breakfast. 2 cappuccino, 2 Croissants, Granola and an egg dish. The food is good but not worth the $70.

Came here for a late breakfast during our NYC vacation, due to my wife having pinned it on Pinterest. I had the hazlenut-crusted french toast, and she had the lemon curd blueberry pancakes. We asked for water with lemon, and were offered the choice of bottled water or "icewater". We chose icewater. It came with... no ice. Room temperature, even! That's very European, so.maybe they were going for authenticity? We asked for some ice, and it was of course brought to us immediately. It all melted rapidly in our watercups. The food was tasty. Only two slices of french toast, on fancy rye bread, with cherries and nuts. Rather small portions, and there was nothing else, no bacon, etc... I guess in these fancier places it's all about delicate balance of flavors and visual appeal. Or somesuch. I probably am not cultured enough to love this place. But you probably will!
