Andrew C shines with this cool, rustic resto. Brunch is a solid choice on time to visit.

I got the squid ink linguini and loved it. The wine choices were phenomenal and the appetizers were varied and delicious. If you are looking for a top notch Italian joint with a fun atmosphere, come here.

So I have been here a lot.. and nothing was up to standard tonight. The wine list was the only sort of good thing. My seat had a massive tear in it. The food was meh. it was a real let down :(

Located in the western portion of TriBeCa, Locanda Verde stays true to the roots of its name ("locanda" translates to tavern or inn, "verde" meaning green), and serves up a variety of rustic, comforting Italian fare for every meal of the day. The interior is fairly low-key, utilizing dark wood to mimic an actual tavern and plenty of windows that make it an attractive dining spot during the day. While they won't seat guests until the entire party has arrived (regardless of whether you have a reservation or not), we managed to get seated quickly and were given the perfunctory menus and glasses of water. It had been a while since I had last had Sheep's Milk Ricotta, but upon hearing that Locanda Verde had the dish, immediately knew that it would be my order for brunch. A heaping portion of ricotta cheese is served with a touch of truffle honey and paired with several slices of burnt orange toast. It's a perfect interplay between sweet, savory, and cheesy, complimented by the hints of citrus in the toast. The first batch of toast I received was sliced far too thin and wound up being too crunchy, but the second batch was far more satisfactory and easier to chew, especially when drizzled with olive oil. While the portion is on the smaller side and more suitable as a shared appetizer, it's surprisingly filling and also works as a brunch entree. My friend opted for the Uovo Modernese, which comes with two lightly baked eggs, a cotechino hash, spinach and a tomato hollandaise to coat the eggs in. It's a simple, but well-executed dish, utilizing ingredients and flavors that all work in harmony. While I do find that prices here are slightly higher than I'm used to seeing, it's justifiable with the quality and care that's present in their dishes. It's a great spot for a leisurely brunch, and I look forward to returning during dinner and trying some of their acclaimed pasta dishes.

Locanda Verde has a convincing rustic setting that runs from the flooring to the ceiling. I tried the sheep's milk Ricotta crostini, blue crab crostini, lamb meatball slider, rabbit sausage fagioli, and semifreddo. In general the ingredients were excellent. Blue crab was a stand out with its fresh seafood taste, a bit of jalapeño spice and the crunch of the crostini. Pasta was flavorful and aromatic. Prosecco semifreddo was unique.

My daughter's wedding reception was held there on Sat, 12/6. As a mother of the bride, I can't tell you what a wonderful experience it was to walk into that elegant room and turn everything over to their most competent, professional hands. The cuisine was OUTSTANDING.Everyone went above and beyond to insure the reception was a success. We really felt pampered. Thank you ALL at Locanda Verde.

I definitely did not feel cool enough to be in this place. Very hip italian eatery with a modern vibe and delicate plates. I sat at the bar and had a couple glasses of wine along with two (very) small appetizers. The foie gras crostini was perfect, though watch out for the berries on them; in the dark they are hard to see and the one that got away left a nice stain on my slacks! Very knowledgeable bartenders on the italian-only wine selection. Looking forward to returning and trying the full menu.
