I grew up watching this fly, its the stuff dreams are made of.
As the shuttle Discovery flew past Washington's Lincoln Memorial, watchers reflected on the end of an era in space travel.

Many people are talking about how the United States lost the space race after all. But forget meaningless national boundaries, sadly it looks like humanity is losing a much more crucial race: the race to make space a commodity before the oil runs out.
