Pub, Restaurant
Kehoe's Bar was first licensed in 1803 when the winds of revolution permeated the Dublin air, this authentic, unpretentious Victorian shrine is one of last great heritage pubs of Dublin. The interior throughout Kehoe's is the product of a Victorian style renovation completed towards the end of the 19th century which has been preserved to the present day. Nowadays this old pub is the buzzing haunt of tourists, scholars, shoppers and business people alike.
The Grocery and Snug Bar
Entering this pub lovers haven, you will be instantly confronted by the austerity and subdued colourings of the Victorian age. When visiting Kehoe's take note of the original mahogany drawers, behind the low grocery counter, which once housed rice, tea, coffee, snuffs and other provisions items. In its former Existence this area was frequented by shoppers of the age who could slip in and enjoy a triple in the snug while the proprietor prepared the provisions order. Everything here remains as it was 100 years ago, including the serving hatch and buzzer in the snug.

Great pub for an afternoon pint, the lounge upstairs is warm comfy and quiet during the day. Perfect for bringing a newspaper and chilling out.

Kehoe's is an excellent pub. Divided up into a number of smaller compartments it has the feel of drinking in someone's large house which makes it very comfortable. Unfortunately that can also make it feel cramped quite easily.

One of Dublin's most popular pubs (and deservedly so), but this is a double-edged sword. Centrally-located, and boasting wonderfully old-school interior decoration, it is mostly impassable on Friday evenings due to the large crowds descending upon it. Great on a rainy Thursday afternoon though. Also serves MacArdles in bottles.

True old Irish pub in city center - lots of locals here and not much tourists. Average age is quite high compared to other bars in this area. Good pub for relaxing and talking.

It's funny - none of the scores above..... "service" (can vary heavily!), "decor" (it's fine...? Nice nooks and crannies - genuinely traditional vibe as opposed to anything phoney) or "food" (it practically has no food) .... reflect why I love Keogh's. It's one of the best spots in Dublin for a Guinness, first of all. One of the best spots for people watching in winter. And then in summer? Comes into its own. Thursday evenings outside Keogh's with a pint of Bulmers? Fantastic. Crowds just spill out onto the street after work and it has a real atmosphere of fun. Definitely one to bring a friend to if you're showing them Dublin.

Dropped into this pub tonight for a quick 1 or 2. Place looked proper old Irish Style. Barmen were sound when serving and then would offer advice on how to gain more comfort (such as closing the window for warmth). They also had O'Haras pale ale, nyom :-)

enter through the narrow corner double doors and into a bar which hasn't changed much since it began with its owners living upstairs. in fact when the current owners took over they kept many of the features upstairs amongst the new bar. the ground flloor has one of the best snugs in dublin
