I’ve lost 12kg (about 26lbs) since April.

Now I feel better and more confident than I did in years.

But it wasn’t a straight line and it surely wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows.

Here's what losing weight taught me about building a successful blog.

Losing weight and building a successful blog are not all that different. I’ve lost 12kg (about 26lbs) since April. Here's what losing weight taught me about blogging and success in general.

Bangkok is not a city that opens itself up easily. But that’s OK. Because Bangkok is it's own kind of city. The truth is, #Bangkok is a city that knows how to keep you entertained and it never gets boring. Beneath all the pollution and chaos, Bangkok is packed with things to do and places to see. #travel #Thailand #sighseeing #attractions #fun #food #foodies

There are plenty of places to see and things to do in Bangkok and there's always a new place to discover, a new flavor to taste, a new experience to live.

One of the greatest joys of travel is experiencing new flavors. But this foodie also enjoys trying her hand at a bit of cooking while at home. It's like reliving a trip way after it's over. And that's how this Welsh rarebit burger was born.

It is cool to have fitness bands that monitor your fitness sessions. But you know what it's also cool? To have a wireless set of headphones that doubles as a workout companion.

Besides playing music from your phone, the Pulse has sensors that measure your heart rate, and the companion app on your iPhone integrates that with your other workout data. Many fitness tracker bands and sports watches come with a heart rate monitor, but Jabra puts the heart rate sensor in a place that is not only convenient but also gives you very reliable readings: on the earbuds.

Fitness trackers are hot right now and there are a lot of options. Their functions remain similar, however, and that is what makes choosing one so difficult. Step tracking, calorie counting - they all do the same things. So how does a company look to stand out from the growing market of increasingly similar hardware? The answer is in the software.

Traveler, photographer, psychologist, blogger
Introduction
Traveler, photographerbloggerart and animal lover, with a degree in psychology, interested in cultural anthropology, exploring life and the world together with my husband, who is also my favorite travel companion.

You can see my travel photos and read about my trips on Travelers Universe and Travelocafe.com

Things that make me happy: waking up in a new place, flowers, art, nature, kitty cats, laughter, friends, taking pictures, good design, good food.

Circles you can include me in: Photographers, Travel/Travelers, Foodies, Cat lovers, Bloggers

My travel philosophy:  I see traveling as food for the soul, because it enriches us as people. Traveling should not be a hassle but the ultimate Zen experience. Traveling is one of the best ways to build life-lasting memories. Traveling is best done in two. I travel to grow up, wake up, discover charming little villages as well as great ideas. I find beach holidays boring and lacking romance, I mean, what can be romantic about sand, sweat and sunburns? Mountains and lakes are my favorite. And my favorite cities are Tokyo and Paris.

I believe there is a right time and a right place for everything; that nobody can jump over their own shadow. I believe that we all have the right to happiness and that happiness is the natural state of the mind. I believe in humanity. I believe in love. I believe in freedom of speech. I believe little miracles do happen. I believe French is the sexiest language on Earth, and if I could travel back in time I would go to the Paris of the 1920’s and get myself drunk on champagne in Montparnasse in one of those literary cafés that silly law of fin de siècle that prohibited private gatherings made so popular. I believe everybody looks pretty with a smile on their face. I believe laughter is the best calorie burner. I believe Switzerland is the image of heaven on Earth.
