For all my tabletop RPG friends:

Found this old PDF while cleaning out backup files. It's a website snapshot from 10 years ago, so it's ugly. Real ugly.

How ugly? It's the TIMECUBE RPG!

Have adventures in FOURTH DIMENSION!

Understand why you're EDUCATED STUPID and bask in the universe created by the (late?) Gene Ray, The Wisest Human.

This sort of nonsense needs to be preserved for The Ages, after all.

Enjoy!

So, follow me down this train of thought real quick, please:

1. I'm in the US, and in the US, "comics" means "superhero comics", and only superhero comics. It's unfortunate but it's true.

2. Superhero comics, obviously, aren't the only comics in the worid. In fact, "comics" isn't a genre, it's a medium. Like "film" or "novels".

3. Locus is a comic that has nothing to do with superheroes, but everything (I can pull out of my hat) to do with adventure. Your average superhero/comics fan takes one look at Locus and thinks I'm drawing softcore porn. Again: unfortunate but true.

4. There are NINE MILLION different types of heavy metal music in the world, and they all have their own unique names.

So...

What do I call these comics? What's a good, simple genre-style name I can throw at Locus comics that would make them easily-understandable to someone who's never read them before?

I've been thinking about this all day, but I'm terrible with names. Do you have any (simple!) suggestions?

I'm on-board to draw some demon women for this game if it gets funded. Demon women in the art style of SSOC mags and/or 30-year old AD&D illustrations. Or, at least, the inking style of said illustrations. I'm excited to fiddle around with the possibilities, at the very least.

Locus fans would dig this game, I'm sure. Check it out!

Woo hoo! Locus RPG dice are here. :)
I finally found the perfect set of dice for the almost-finished Locus RPG, and they arrived today!

They're Locus Pink and I love them.

Also in the shot: my d30 (black), my Magic Eight Ball (white), the Locus Player Handbook/Character Sheet Tract, and the old Zodar deck I hand-made 20-ish years ago.

They have nothing to do with the Locus RPG, but I thought you'd like to see them anyway.

If you're trying to read the new Godslayer page, you can't get to it from the main site, which will throw a 406 error.

You can, however, access the page directly: http://locusgodslayer.com/comic/chapter-9/09-15/

Workin' on getting this fixed. Until then: the pages are still there! Main page is not. :(

Locus: Godslayer two-page spread is done!

Now it's time for Moroccan chicken and Babylon 5 reruns. :)

Two bits of good news for Locus fans and gaming fans:

1. First round of playtesting the Locus RPG finished up yesterday. Our Gang defeated the plans of both Mama Wata (Daddy Bouchon, really) and the Ael who wanted to kill Rick Rage, the greatest illusionist of the 21st century (and leader of the Men In Black who are his right hand in taking over the world).

Everybody died once (when SOMEONE decided it was a good idea to let the Nefilim out of its cell) and THAT SAME SOMEONE died a second time in the last game. He now has permanent Unveiled Eyes, just like Isaac. Lucky dog.

New playtesting group will start up next Sunday, and it'll be a test of the character creation rules, since those changed twice since we started playing. Judging by Wendy's new character, those rules seem to be pretty solid.

I should have a digital download bundle-type thing ready for you guys very soon. I wanna put together a zip file with an illustrated PDF, a text-only PDF, an epub version, and a plain text version in case you want to run it through an online file converter and turn it into a MOBI or whatever. Stay tuned for that!

2. The vote for the Next Comic ended on the 24th of last month, and the winner was decided! It was a close race, but the Spook & Moondoggie comic won over the Slip comic.

So! Middle of June 2017 will see the end of Locus: Godslayer and the beginning of the (as yet unnamed) Spook & Moondog comic.

We will get to see how Spook and Moondoggie met and the subsequent hell the two of them raised. We will also get to see what happened to Silk and Eden after the events in Silk & Honey. I won't go into details, but there will be flashbacks that play out like old kung fu movies. You will be especially entertained if you're a fan of Master Of The Flying Guillotine.

Plus, we'll get to see Spook and Silk reunited, and who doesn't want to see that? Oh, and: this will be the comic that tells the story of how Silk got her sword, the Tears of the Dragon.

It's gonna be fun! I can't wait. :D
