Hope these guys do well, it's a great idea and if it works in Africa, it'll work anywhere.

It is only human arrogance, and the fact that the lives of plants unfold in what amounts to a much slower dimension of time, that keep us from appreciating their intelligence and consequent success. Plants dominate every terrestrial environment, composing ninety-nine per cent of the biomass on earth. By comparison, humans and all the other animals are, in the words of one plant neurobiologist, “just traces.”

Despite the worldwide condemnation of alleged chemical attacks and the likelihood of a Western-led military intervention against Syria, the humanitarian response remains woefully underfunded.

"a 1950s statistic – that is ill suited for 2014" - an interesting commentary on a powerful number.
Gross Domestic Product is the king of all statistics, across the world, says author Zachary Karabell. What was a good metric for the 1950s, he says, is ill suited to measuring economic health in 2014.

Is #bitcoin just a modern form of barbarism? Maybe not... but it's interesting to consider it's relation with #gold, http://nyti.ms/1crGN2L

If you´re interested in beer then go to the Rake. Not the biggest bar in the world - it might even be a contender for smallest bar! but it has space outside and the all important selection of beer that is constantly changing. Pay them a visit, drink some beer and be merry.

Pizza, pizza, pizza... more of a pizza pub than anything else. If you´re in the mood for some wood fired pizza then check it out. Although I could comment on the quality of the dough changing from week to week it certainly falls on the side of "it´s good pizza". Take a group, enjoy the food.

Pizza and beer. Can you ever go wrong with that combination? Not here at least. The pizza is excellent and the selection of beers (although strong in ABV!) are enough for you to drink the afternoon/day/evening/weekend away.

The burritos here are worth the visit. In addition if you enjoy a good cocktail then you´ve found the right place to go. A good selection of bottled beers, good cocktails and good food. Why haven´t you been already?

Salted beef? Rueben? Pickles? beer? yes please! If you want something to eat and a nice beer to wash it down then look no further (especially if you´re nearby!). Worth checking it out.

If you want a good selection of beers to drink then visit here. A dozen taps serve cask and keg ales and beer, and there´s also a huge selection of bottled beers! Some will be expensive but then again it´s the selection that you´re probably looking for. Good pub grub... mainly recommended for the selection of beer though.

If you´re interested in craft beers this place has a good selection. The food changes every month (or so) and has always been good from my experience. Be warned, the beer is tasty but carries a high ABV.
