The Stonewall Movement was 44 years ago. The ruling of The Supreme Court the other day was a victory for the LGBTQ Community and proves the efforts of those who came before us are working! It is more important now more than ever to fight the good fight and keep the memory of Stonewall live. We are attempting to do so with an important historical comic book project on The Stonewall Riots and you can help make it happen by donating to our crowd sourcing efforts. Please contribute and share our cause. Solidarity keeps us proud! http://igg.me/p/354842

One year and $28,000 later, the showers and locker rooms at the Parliament Hill Fitness Centre got new floors. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/07/03/pol-parliament-hill-shower-renovations-peek-into-contracting.html
I write about politics. That means I spend my days digging through reports, watching question period and trying to find politicians to talk to me.
Research, writing, pestering people by phone and email, and live-tweeting.
- Canadian Broadcasting CorporationSenior online politics writer, 2011 - present
Politics reporter. Dictionary user. Wine drinker. Fashion lover. Pub trivia competitor.
I report on politics and Parliament Hill for CBC.ca, with sometimes diversions onto radio and CBC News Network. I cover the ongoing fall-out from the 2008 and 2011 elections, as well as democratic reform (that means robocalls and other Elections Canada investigations). I also follow consumer affairs, women's health and whatever else crosses my desk.
Other newsrooms I've passed through include Sun Media, Embassy Newspaper and CTV, all in their Hill bureaus. I've also worked for the Ottawa Citizen and the Vancouver Province covering local news.
Skilled in chasing, following my instincts and using documents to build background for stories. Almost a decade of experience working on Parliament Hill and a solid understanding of how legislatures work.
