Try the lamb. It is exceptional. Generally they roast it over an open fire-engulfed US helicopter. The wait staff was very friendly but Im not sure they understand the meaning of "the customer is always right". Quite aggressive when you ask to be seated in the secret loft. Overall pleasant.

Really authentic and you feel immersed in the warmth of a misunderstood and hated culture. Cold concrete floor interiors. 1970s shag and weird VHS decks in the room just like the other reviewers say. Coffee pretty good. Staff mostly helpful. They're so big on fluorescent tubes over here. I just find the lighting depressing and really hard to read by at night. Place could do with a makeover; I'm thinking precious Brooklyn cider bar meets precious LA craft beer emporium kind of a thing; they already have the neckbeard deal going pretty well. Just put the guys in plaid shirts. Other thing: Not many women over here. Seems like we see only men on the streets. Weird. The "Death to America" thing at the end of every sentence from staff didn't bother me the way it did other reviewers. At this point just a formality. I don't think they even hear themselves half the time. So, I just smile and nod. As to the food, stick to the local bread and veg. My mom always counseled, "when you're inland don't order the fresh seafood." But that was back in the 60s, right? Now we have modern transportation and anywhere in the US is no further than about 20 minutes from seared ahi. So I figures, hey who am I to assume that Coquille St Jacques in the middle of Pakistan won't be as good as it is in, say, eastern Kentucky, right? I will be checking out of the Abbotabad Hospital next week, apparently. Watch for my review.

I had a little trouble finding the place, I stopped at the Pakistani military academy to ask for directions and they didn't seem to know where it was at either. Your best bet is finding a courier who can lead you there. The staff is friendly, and the food there is to die for!

Would go again, great meal, exploded in my mouth. Though while I was having tea a seal team six officer shot at my tea. The artistic photos of the twin towers were amazing.
