We donated children's books to the local library, in Jerney's memory.

Please consider donating to the family. The bills don't stop, and the other kiddos still need to be fed, even though they are dealing with losing Jerney.

Don’t just slap some text on a stock photo and call it good. You can do much better. Nichole Elizabeth DeMeré shows you how in this post.

Dear +Amtrak

I just tried to navigate in your blog, and it was a disturbing experience.  Under your "Travel Tips" section (At least I think that's what it is), none of the internal links match the pictures or text anchors until the page completely loads.  This took almost 4 minutes on my computer, on a dedicated T1 line.

Something you might want to look into.

I-17 restrictions beginning early Sunday morning (Feb. 21) in Phoenix
Northbound Interstate 17 narrowed to one lane overnight between the I-10 “Split” interchange near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Seventh Avenue for pavement repair. Eastbound I-10 ramp to northbound I-17 closed. DETOUR: Consider using westbound I-10 in the downtown Phoenix area as alternate route.

9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday (Feb. 22)

Roundabout construction will impact drivers on SR 89 at Perkinsville Road in Chino Valley tomorrow
Minimal delays expected
The Arizona Department of Transportation will restripe the roadway at the intersection of State Route 89 and Perkinsville tomorrow, Feb. 9 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. to allow crews to begin construction of a new roundabout.
In addition to the restriping of the roadway, crews will close Perkinsville Road for the next five weeks and drivers will need to use alternate routes, to access SR 89 until the work is completed on the east side of the project. Traffic will be shifted to the west side of the roadway on SR 89 to make room for construction activity.
Drivers may have minimal impacts during work hours and ADOT advises drivers to allow additional time to reach their destinations and to proceed through the work zone with caution, comply with the reduced speed limit, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
This $1.5 million project consists of a new roundabout at the intersection of SR 89 and Perkinsville Road between mileposts 328 and 329. Additional work includes removal and replacement of existing pavement, drainage improvements, new pavement markings and lighting.
This project is expected to be complete by September.

Waze fixed the editing problem on Saipan, and all of the main roads have been added to the island!  Hopefully we can get a tile update sometime soon.
