The Harris Teeter/Washington Nationals Food Drive benefiting the Capital Area Food Bank is this weekend! Fans who bring at least three non-perishable food items to the Center Field Gate on either Saturday or Sunday will receive two tickets to a Nationals home game.

Woot to all the ‪#‎foodheroes‬, especially our own Molly McGlinchy! Molly —day in, day out—works with regional food suppliers to ensure perfectly good food is diverted from landfills and given to us. As a result, we are able to supply more communities with healthy food and landfills don't produce as much methane gas. You might also say she is a Climate Change Hero.

According to Wikipedia, competitive eating is a sport. I guess that make you an athlete should you accept the challenge in Thursday's Wing Eating Contest at First Down Sports Bar & Grill. Registration fees, donations, and 10% of sales will go toward our awesome new outdoor classroom!
