I noticed that scrollbars in Safari weren't disappearing like they're supposed to in Mavericks.  So, I went to System Preferences > General, and put the radio button under "Show scrollbars" to say "When scrolling."  Closed out the window, went back to Safari and noticed they were still there.  Closed Safari out, reopened it, and reopened the last page I was on, only to notice that the scrollbars are still there.  Opened System Preferences back up to see that the option for scrollbars had been switched back to "Always."  This is quite annoying.  I closed out Safari completely and the only Finder window I had opened, I closed that too, thinking maybe it switched back because I had a window open that was still showing scrollbars and that the setting couldn't be changed with a scrollbar that was active.  Ya know?  Anything that I could do to see where I might be able to fix the issue.  I changed the setting again, but this time kept the System Preferences window open, thinking maybe the radio button would change back again even without closing the window.  I opened up Safari, and noticed the scrollbars were still there but that the radio button hadn't been changed back yet in System Preferences.  I closed System Preferences and reopened it under the General pane to notice that the radio button had been changed back to "Always"...again!  Wow, this is annoying.  Help? :(

A path down to the beach with huge boulders in Virgin Gorda at sunset...  We had a company party down here for Stuck In Customs — we stayed at this amazing place called Toad Hall - see http://www.toadhallvg.com/index2.php

"What's that thing up there that looks like a star sapphire?"
"Tycho...An asteroid landed there and broke the moon...It made a crack in the moon a hundred times the size of the Grand Canyon."

Layin on my back on the couch the other night, watching "Open Range" and waiting for "Shane" to come on.  Wondered what that bright light was coming through the window shining in the corner of my eye.  Looked up and saw it was the moon!  Grabbed my camera bag that was on the floor right next to the couch, put the lens on, turned it on (still layin on my back), and...BOOM! :D  Laid there on the couch snapping photo after photo of that big bright light. >.>

Would've been a lot easier to share via my iPad if G+ sharing was built into iOS.  I hope to God Twitter never forms a rivalry with Apple, then we won't be able to do that either.  I would say the same thing for Facebook, but I personally don't give a damn about Facebook.

Anyway, enjoy and have a nice day. :)

My two Cents in Reply to This Video

A real problem with the Youtube comments: When you tap an “in reply to” link, it now opens up a new tab, reloading the entire page, and you have no idea where the conversation is or what you're supposed to be looking at now that you've got a new tab open with the exact same page as the previous tab, which is really nonintuitive and extremely annoying.  I think they should fix that first, because that's something that's obviously broken, not just something that other people find annoying about the new changes.  It's an actual broken thing.

On that note, I didn't hear all this whining about FACEBOOK comments in blog posts.  A lot of websites out there make you have an account SOMEwhere on the internet in order to post a comment on their website when they use something like disqus or livefyre.  However, many others simply implement facebook commenting into their website, so it's Facebook or nothing.  A big example would be Hulu.  Of alllll the websites on the internet!!  I used to be able to post a comment on Hulu using my *gasp* HULU account.  Now, I have to have a facebook account linked to my hulu account in order to post a comment on a video.  But, where's the big fuss about that?  *cricket* *cricket*  Yeah, exactly.  Check and mate.

Nobody gives a damn when Facebook integration practically takes over the whole god damned internet, but let G+ try to integrate ONE FUCKING THING and it's HANDS ACROSS THE FUCKING WORLD.

@nunogt No, that's not how it works for Apple users.  We don't let the blind lead the blind.  Contrary to your opinion, we do actually think for ourselves when it comes to what we need and want in terms of the software we use.  I've been using the Mail app for Gmail ever since I first started using a mac...seven years ago.  And since upgrading to 10.9, haven't had the issues outlined in this article at all.

I suggest you buy what you want to buy, make decisions that regulate the way you do things in your own life, and leave others to do the same for themselves.  Don't come on here telling people what they should do, how they should think, and least of all, who they are. Git on outta here, troll.  We gave at the office.

And here I am, posting this on Google+...from Safari! gasp  I'm such a rebel.
