Like if you think that classics cars such as this stunning Bentley should remain free to drive the streets of Paris.

"This lovely old lady seems to be the vehicle of choice to go get the sunday newspapers. Near the place du Trocadéro, Paris, yesterday." Frédéric Laurent

Former England international footballer Jimmy Greaves was born on this day in 1940.

Though best known for being the highest goalscorer in the history of English top-flight football with 357 goals, he also took part in the 1970 London to Mexico World Cup Rally with rally driver Tony Fall.

The pair drove their Ford Escort 1850GT to sixth position out of 96 entrants.

A shame Tesco and M&S is in the way of a full lap.... and Mercedes World... Sony.... Yamaha.

Surrey County Council destroyed a global motorsport heritage site. What's left now is a disgrace.

A historic and listed building on hanger hill mysteriously burnt down... so it could be demolished as "unsafe".

Brooklands is a lesson in corporate greed and council corruption.

Is original always best?

If E-type values are anything to go by, then the answer is most definitely 'yes'.

Even so, we think that David Vidal makes a compelling case for the Series III V12 Roadster – and he hasn't even said a word.

Peter Fonda – star of 1969 film Easy Rider – was born on this day in 1940.

The majority of the movie was filmed on location in the southern states of the US, and its scenes are packed to the rafters with classic cars.

Which is your favourite?

Jason Hartong spotted this stunning number in Miami, Florida this week – and what a spot it was!

Unless out eyes deceive us, it appears to be the 1953 Stanguellini 750 Sport that was originally delivered to Briggs Cunningham, and which won the Queen Katharine Cup during its first outing at Watkins Glen – not to mention collecting a gong at Pebble Beach in 2007.

Nice one, Jason.
