Made a reservation and they did not bother to tell us that their air conditioner was broken. When we asked the waiter he said it had been out for almost 3 weeks. The food was just OK, nothing special. The waiter was great and kept a good attitude in the August heat. Atmosphere was pretty cool; reading the graffiti and listening to the music was fun. Too bad our first time there was ruined by the heat. I would go back if the air works!

This is our story on Valentines Day. We drove all the way from Mansfield for our 9:00pm reservation. Like the other guest, our reservation meant nothing. We still had to wait another 35 minutes before we were sat. I was very happy to get a booth because my now fiance had taken me to this same place a couple of years ago. We waited a good 10 minutes before we were greeted. We looked at the menu and noticed that they were only serving certain items on the menu. As an appetizer we ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms, which were stuffed with no crab, just bread crumbs. The garlic bread was cold and tasted freezer burned. We informed our server that we were not happy with mushrooms and she said "this is my first complaint about the food" which said the opposite in my opinion. Long story short, I ordered the crab and shrimp alfredo which came out in a buffet bowl slopped together and once again no crab. It was disgusting and not worth 19.95. I had words with the head server she was very rude and ignorant and I told her so. Had words with the so called owner as well. She was just as rude. DO NOT waist your time and money. They will not be open for long.

I should have trusted my first impression upon entering the front door. Not very inviting, looked like I was entering through the back door. OK, so I have been to Chicago where they write all over the walls, doors, you name it, and still had great food. This was not the case. + the food was good but only average. Was a little concerned about past salad bar reviews but found that it was average as well. This is not the place for a romantic setting to say the least. In fact I would not take a customer to this place. Service was great but there were only 3 couples at 6:30! No wine with dinner very over priced. You can figure $25.00 per person. Was not told we would get bread with our order - ordered garlic bread with salad - now we have 2 baskets of bread! This place needs a major face lift!

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. Come after 6 so you can hear the entertainment. The last time I was here was 11 years ago. It was just as good. Those who complain about graffiti and bad singing do not appreciate the nostalgia. You need to come enjoy it. Couples can get a private booth which has doors that close. I did not pay extra for bread

The place was not as interesting as I expected. They decided to sit my wife and I in one of the booths that the AC didn't really reach and it was already hot coming in to the place (you have to go down a set of stairs before you actually reach the restaurant). The signing on the walls idea seemed great in the beginning but when you get there it just seems like glorified graffiti and ended up looking slightly trashy. The food was alright but overall I felt like it was slightly overpriced.

Strange and awkward. Should be called "Italian Basement" because it's basically underground. It's definitely a unique place; you have to have a specific taste to appreciate the atmosphere. It's like a mix of fine dining and ghetto (which in my opinion DO NOT go together). There's graffiti everywhere - the walls, tables, bathrooms, etc. If you don't like graffiti, or you don't enjoy jazz, then don't go. The live music wasn't all that great. Whenever they stopped playing it was awkwardly quiet. And everything was super dark. I've been to dimly lit restaurants before, but this was just dark - could barely see the plate in front of you. The food was ok - my meal was a bit overcooked. Way overpriced for the quality. I give it 2 stars overall.

I don't want to be rude because I really enjoyed the experience and the service to a certain extent. Reservations meant nothing. They totally ignored that we said we had reservations but we didnt have to wait too long before they had a booth available for us. The cool part about these is you get to close the doors, you also get to write on the walls there. The servers sing which was very cool. I LOVED the live music and singing all over the place. But our waitress did forget our appetizers and tried to charge us for a WHOLE order of garlic bread and we only ordered and received a HALF. It was only a dollar but I felt like she did it on purpose for some reason. Also, the salad bar kinda sucked. They had only iceberg lettuce. I don't like white lettuce on the green. No onions or any flavorful things to put on the salad, just plain stuff like carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. The only thing dressy they had to put on the salad was black olives and tomatoes. The experience was nice but the food was not. The stuffed mushrooms were supposed to have lobster or crab (I cant remember which one) but they forgot to put it in there or something. The Chefs Special (what me and my husband ordered which was like 25 bucks): The artichoke was soggy, it had too many mushrooms, the chicken was dry, the shrimp wasn't cooked long enough so it tasted fleshy. Anywho, I should have went by all the bad reviews although I did have a great time.
