Onrush New Trailer Showcases Vehicle Classes, Each With Their Distinctive Traits And Abilities
If you’re a fan of arcade racing games that mixes the thrill of high speed with a high level of destructibility, then you may be interested to know about Codemasters’ upcoming title Onrush. From what we saw of the game in its last trailer, it looks like a ton of fun and now a new trailer has been released which showcases the different unique vehicles available in the game.

What’s really impressive is how each car is quite unique and has to be played differently. Each car in the game will add abilities to their RUSH tank by playing in a certain way. For example, the Interceptor can add to its rush tank by driving close to danger and getting near-misses while the Charger can add to the RUSH tank by staying close to enemies. This is going to allow for quite a lot of versatility and will allow players to experiment with different playstyles.

You can check out the trailer below and also read more information about each of the unique vehicles. Onrush will release on June 5 for Xbox One and PS4, and will later release for the PC as well.

Vehicle Classes and Abilities:

Blade

RUSH – Firewall: RUSHing leaves a destructive trail of fire scorching the earth behind.
ABILITY – Crashbang: Your Tombstones are blinding when collected by opponents.
TRAIT – Tumbler: Earn RUSH directly from front and back flips.

Outlaw

RUSH – Drain: RUSHing drains boost from all opponents in range.
ABILITY – Slam: Heavy landings trigger a shockwave that makes nearby enemies vulnerable.
TRAIT – Show-Off: Earn RUSH directly from performing tricks.

Vortex

RUSH – Turbulence: RUSHing leaves a disruptive wake of turbulent air behind.
ABILITY – Touchdown: Timed boost landings are more effective.
TRAIT – Spiral: Earn RUSH directly from performing barrel rolls.

Charger

COMMENTS

RUSH – Bulldoze: Plow through opponents with a physically larger RUSH effect.
ABILITY – Airstrike: Improved magnetism on in-air attacks.

Destiny 2 Warmind’s Mars Map Revealed
Following Bungie’s reveal stream for Warmind, the next DLC for Destiny 2, there have been even more details regarding the playable area that will be available. Taking place on Mars, specifically the Hellas Basin, the map for the region has been revealed.

As revealed by DICTATUSNORDIC on Reddit, the map seems to have more going on than Curse of Osiris‘s ill-fated Mercury zone. If you needed any more confirmation though, Bungie community manager Cozmo confirmed in a comment that it was indeed bigger than Mercury.

Of course, Curse of Osiris also had the Infinite Forest along with Mercury so expect similar levels in Warmind. Hopefully we get to actually revisit them this time around. There will also be 45 collectibles to gather, a rather welcome return that may just lead to a secret quest (and possible Exotic).

Strange Brigade New Story Trailer And Release Date Revealed
Rebellion had first announced Strange Brigade almost a year ago along with a trailer. Now, a new story trailer has been released that goes deeper into the lore behind why a group of fighters had to take on various supernatural enemies. Along with this new trailer, the release date for the game has been revealed as well.

As far as the story goes, the world is in danger because the Witch Queen Seteki has risen from her tomb and has now raised a terrifying army. The Strange Brigade is then formed so as to go up against these supernatural enemies. Each member of the team will have their own unique abilities and weapons. Apart from enemies, players will also have to solve puzzles and get past deadly traps. The game certainly looks fun and we’ll be able to try it for ourselves in just a few months.

New Sea Of Thieves Update Improves UI And Game Performance, Includes Other Fixes
On both the Xbox One and PC, Rare has successfully rolled out patch 1.0.5 for their pirate simulator Sea of Thieves. On top of general bug squashing and stability fixes, the new update brings some changes to UI and performance enhancements.

The patch has fixed weapon slot and spawning bugs that have plagued players for awhile, and specific quests involving some spooky, scary skeletons not spawning. Many instances of strange text have been rewritten and some elements such as the ammo crates have been moved on ships for ease of use.

In addition to the patch notes, the developers are teasing new cosmetics to come to the game soon, which Gamingbolt will report on when they launch. New Message from Beyond – The Ferryman was unhappy with the text that had been written describing how to ‘Scuttle’ a ship, so he made them write a better version – and then walk the plank.
Reload! – Adjusted position of the Ammo Crates on both ships, so they are easier to interact with.

Fixed Issues

Resolved issues where Skeleton Fort or Bounty Quest Skeletons failed to spawn correctly.
We have been resolving these spawning issues across the last 2 updates (1.0.3, 1.0.4), however with this update (1.0.5) we have now resolved all known reported spawning issues. If you find any further problem islands, please log a Support Ticket noting the island and we will investigate further.
Players will no longer be stuck with a single weapon slot and players weapon choice will now also persist across sessions.
Players who were experiencing the Single Weapon Slot issue will now be resolved as soon as they load into game. No more early visits to the Ferryman required!
Ships will no longer ping up into the sky when sinking.

Xbox Live and Discord Integration Announced
Discord is literally the best. The gaming focused VoIP/communication app has over 90 million users, and is a mainstay of PC gaming. Now, Microsoft has announced that they will be supporting basic integration of Xbox Live accounts with Discord soon.

Notably, this won’t let you use a Discord app to chat with your friends on Xbox, for example- what it does do, though, is allow your Discord friends see what you’re playing on your Xbox Live account (whether on PC or Xbox One). It’s baby steps, but it once again demonstrates Microsoft’s willingness to play nice with other platforms and services.

The option will be available “soon”, with no specific date shared yet. It will be made available to Xbox Insider members first, with a general rollout coming later. Personally, I am hoping that even tighter Xbox Live and Discord integration is coming- and that Nintendo and Sony follow in Xbox’s footsteps with this, too.

Dark Souls Remastered Gets New Gameplay Trailer
While Nintendo owners will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on Dark Souls Remastered, the good news for everyone else is that they can still play the game next month, when it launches on May 25. And in case you needed more convincing that this touch-up of the beloved From Software RPG is worth buying, there is a brand new gameplay trailer for it out that you can see for yourself below.

If you like what you see, digital pre-orders for the game are also available now on Xbox Live, PSN, and Steam. On Steam, if you own the original, you can get this remaster for half off. Additionally, starting May 8, the original Dark Souls will be delisted from Steam, and the remaster will be the only version available to buy. That said, if you have already bought the original, you can re-download it from Steam at will without having to worry about it.

Dark Souls Remastered launches on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch release planned for later in the year.

H1Z1 Getting Open Beta for PS4 on May 22
PUBG and Fortnite may rule the roost now, but the original battle royale game, the progenitor of the genre that stated it all, was H1Z1: King of the Hill. Developed by Daybreak Entertainment (formerly Sony Online Entertainment), the game was announced to be coming to the PS4 long ago. Now, it has been confirmed it will be coming to the console again, with an open beta for the game commencing on May 22, so everyone can check it out.

The PS4 port will include console-optimized controls, all the content for the PC version so far, unique in game cosmetic items, and will run at 60 frames per second on PS4 Pro- all of which is awesome. You can check out trailer for the PS4 version of the game for yourself below.

H1Z1 is a free to play game, and you can already get it on the PC via Steam right now, in case you don’t want to wait for the PS4 version.

The Division’s Blackout Global Event Now Live, Ends on April 30th
Tom Clancy’s The Division has received its newest Global Event as of yesterday with Blackout. Starting from April 23rd, the event will be live until April 30th. Check out the trailer below for a quick summary of what to expect (including new weapon skins and masks).

The modifier this time around is Blackout. Agents now fire Shock Ammo which can stun enemies; shooting and running will build up a charge meter, which increases the damage dealt. Extreme Blackout can be applied to kill enemies with Overcharged melee hits but missing will see you and your allies stunned. Then there’s Total Blackout, applicable to groups, which includes Extreme Blackout and will see your charge meter deplete faster near teammates.

As with previous Global Events, four Classified Gear Sets will be up for grabs – D3-FNC, DeadEye, Striker’s Battlegear and Tactician’s Authority – and thanks to changes made for loot drops, it’s now possible to buy Superior Caches for each specific set. This will help combat the RNG of previous events by quite a bit.

Fortnite Update 3.6 Will Add New Weapons Clinger And Noble Launcher Along With Other Changes
Epic Games have steadily been making small changes to Fortnite, such as removing certain weapons due to balancing issues. Now, the game is down for weekly maintenance and also to prepare for the launch of update 3.6 which will bring with it a number of changes, including the addition of some new weapons among other things.

The new update adds the Clinger which functions as a sticky bomb. This has been teased for a while and now, players will finally be able to cause as much mayhem as possible with it. This weapon will be available in both Battle Royale and Save The World modes. Another weapon that has been added is the Noble launcher which can be charged up to shock enemies. However, this weapon will only be available in Save The World mode.

Bug fixes

Fixed a collision issue with the Port-a-Fort tires that allowed downed players to hide in them.
Fixed an issue where Submachine Guns intermittently failed to reload.
Fixed an issue where Cozy Campfire healed for one more second than intended.
Fixed an issue where red hitmarkers wouldn’t show when the Rocket Launcher dealt damage.
The red light on Remote Explosives can no longer be seen through doors.
Fixed an issue causing consumables from Loot Llamas and Supply Drops to exceed the maximum stack size in a player’s inventory.

Gameplay

Short fences will no longer block you from building structures.
First shot accuracy is now reset when you crouch, uncrouch, or switch weapons.
Players now spawn closer to their squadmates on the starting island.
Moved the groups of spawn points on the starting island to be closer to one another.
Supply Drop balloon health has been adjusted based on playlist. Solo: 500, Duo: 750, Squad: 1250
Supply Drops now spawn twice as high and fall twice as fast.

Bug fixes

-Builder Pro

Fixed an issue where primary fire could be interrupted when releasing aim down sights.
Fixed an issue where sprinting could stop if you switched to build mode and attempted to quickly build a ramp.
Fixed an issue causing player’s weapons to automatically fire after placing a structure and switching to the weapon.

-Supply Drops

Balloon collision no longer remains after the crate is opened.
Supply Drops no longer get stuck on structures, trees, or in the air.
Fixed Port-a-Fort tires floating in the air when Port-a-Fort is thrown at a Supply Drop.
Players no longer take falling damage when landing on top of tires.
Fixed an issue that caused doors to recoil after quickly spamming the interact input when approaching the door.
Fixed an issue that switched the wrong building piece to edit mode when attempting to edit a different piece.

Weapons and items

-Clinger added

This grenade sticks to targets and explodes a short time later.
Grenade does not damage player built structures.
Can be found in drops in the world, and expires at the end of the mission.

-Noble Launcher added (available starting March 25 at 8pm ET)

Heavy weapon that fires a wave of piercing energy.
Has three charge states:
Uncharged (0.5 tile wide)
Moderate Charge (1 tile wide)
Max Charge (1.5 tiles wide)
Deals energy damage, which is fairly effective against all types of elemental enemies.

-Adjusted Energy Ammo Costs

Amount of Energy Ammo per craft increased from 80 to 100.
Drops of Energy Ammo in the world increased by 20%.
Bacon may now be found in greater quantity…. wherever bacon may be found

Missions and systems

-Salvage the Drone mission adjustments

The Drone will now crash less frequently.
The Drone should no longer crash next to a primary mission defense location.
Completion rewards have been improved to drop a wider variety of items.
Salvage resources have been tripled.
In Thunder Route 99, destroying mine support structures now grants the correct wood resource.
Difficulty pylon cost has been returned to a flat cost of 2 BluGlo per difficulty increase.
The anomaly can be destroyed by anything doing world damage, including abilities and shooting.
Once the anomaly has been destroyed, you must now retrieve the shards by interacting with them.
Concrete corner walls in cities and industrial zones no longer block player built structures

Gameplay

Reduced the resurrect time on Defenders from 5 seconds to 2 seconds.
Rifts and Encampments should no longer block projectiles.
Traps no longer ‘float’ when the wall they are on has been destroyed.
Corrected an issue where Remote Explosives could not be thrown while sprinting.
Removed predictive stair rotation that would frequently guess wrong.

UI

Controllers can now zoom on the Mission Select screen by holding the triggers.
Missions can now be selected by double clicking them on the map screen.
Removed ammo visualisation from the HUD due to instances causing it to not reliably fit on screen.
Fixed an issue that prevented scrolling through the quest description for the quest, ‘Reunion Tour’.
Fixed an issue where quest updates would pop up behind the build option HUD.
Fixed an issue where rewards appeared offscreen on the Mission Select screen.

God Of War Update 1.13 Released, Bringing Bug Fixes And Improvements
God of War is a game that is almost perfect, but its not without a few minor issues. Recently, a patch was released to address an issue where the text size in the game was too small. While this wasn’t a major problem, it was rather inconvenient, especially for those who play games from a little distance. Now, a new patch has been released to fix some bugs along with bringing some other improvements.

The precise details of what this new update brings isn’t clear and all that has been stated is that the update brings “bug fixes and improvements.” Overall, players haven’t reported experiencing any major issues with the game, so the new update probably just deals with some very minor issues that are bound to exist in a game of this size and scope.
